I don't know how to describe her killer stare. Reminds me of a dog who is giving a warning.. hard stare, mean face...

I'm guessing this guy jumped DC as he was leaving the other area to come down and relieve Beauty early this morning. Likely been scoping him out for awhile now to find his pattern and weakness.

If anything, I'm thankful DC made it back to BS. Joyce & MAK can see him. Hopefully, he just needs some time to recover.

Now, we just need an update on Pigott. Maybe she's trying to stay aloof to not draw attention to DC.

As much as I hate this, whatever happens DT is going to happen. Beauty will have to take a break. Maybe that's when new male will venture into box. I don't think he has offered her any food at this point, which I find a little surprising. She may not accept it, but I really don't think there has been an offer yet. I'm going to have to accept that B will need to lookout for herself and their eggs.

I'm just so sorry to see this happen here.

3:36 - Looks like B is tracking him.... still that hard stare.

He's on deck - on rail next to cam 4. Just clipped the little platform on top of cam 4 when he landed.

Came in quiet. NO vocals. B is giving that hard stare.

B is locked on him with her stare.

There are no vocals going on... from either one.

No food offering. That I can see.

3:49 - New male has moved back to side rail between main cam & cam 4.

Again, B is giving hard stare, holding still. Trying to incubate, closing eyes.

I, personally, don't view this as a "relaxed". I view this as a front....

Doesn't seem this bird is too quick to court Beauty. I would think he would try to bring her a gift. Any other times I've seen a new male come in, he has offered food...?

3:56 - male just called/whined. Still just sitting there.

B is alert again. Doesn't look like she's ready to move. She did not respond to his call.

I don't think she feels particularly threatened by him...if she did, she would not be dozing off..

It is strange that he hasn't brought a food gift yet...maybe that's why he was hunting so furiously...but, wasn't successful..

4:23 - male just went to beam in front of box. Bowing. Now to area between beam and box, looking in. B up, standing over eggs, wings spread fluffed up...

B just let him know... GET AWAY... She's not having it. All silently...

He just moved back to platform. and I think he just flew away..

Dang...I wish I had been recording that...it WAS strange...B puffed up like a porcupine..scared him off!!! next time he tries that, he'd better have food!!!
