Bird Cams Around the World

At first i was like, oh how cute, he's running out there, then I realized that it was the parent on the roof and he was up on the wall.

A feeding on the wall, hard to see.

Plus, he was flapping and running along the wall.

The Boss is 37 days or so today. I'm sure he will fledge by Tuesday or Wednesday. Can anyone see how much down he still has?

Yesterday it looked like the remaining down was mostly around the legs and side of the body. Topside looked down-free.

Looks like The Boss is going to get blown off the roof today. Strong winds and lots of flapping.

I got a still pic a little after 1 p.m. that showed him walking on the roof towards the cam. The roof area the nestbox is on is huge and extends very far to the right off-cam. There's also a smaller roof area and ledges to the left of the cam that he can easily hop onto.

Well Now..The Boss has found his feet work for more than perchin! Hope he walks right back into the box tonight!!

Loosing light but it seemed he was still on the edge away from box...I cannot get live cam...so going by the stills at 8.45 he was still on the roof edge in lvicinity of last pic I posted...

Paul is trying to move the cam so we can see him better. He will be on the cam controls early tomorrow morning.

Yep, nifty camera work from Paul (being able to control it remotely is such an asset!!). Nice capture Matrix, I bet Boss was impressed with his neighboring skyline at sunset

Yep! What a view last evening!!

Made a very quick trip down to JC with dog. When I arrived at 10:15 on Pearl and Hudson, an adult was on the top parapet about two posts to the east (cam view right) from the nest box. I moved to Pearl and Greene and The Boss was on top of the first parapet to the east (cam view right) of the nest box.

He was flapping and preening, trying to get those pesky white feathers off. He should be flying very soon.

Just now the Boss hoped back into camera view from the west ledge area or left on the cam. He walked across the roof past Athena and the box and hopped back up on the north ledge where the wind almost blew him off. Hopping across on the ledge to the east (right) and parapet.
