I'm going over to put band numbers in the calendar, so you all let me know the names to the bands(unofficial of course).

In case you are in doubt, that small one is definitely a female- I think 840 gms? The big girl is just enormous

I have watched falcon nestcams and read your message boards for a little over a year now, and I don’t think I’ll stop soon. I really appreciate all of your efforts. As a neophyte and non-photographer, I’ve never felt I had anything to add, but I would like to suggest the names “Beulah” and “Bertha” for these two Cobb Island sisters.
I first found the Cobb Island camera just as the last eyas fledged last year, and I am really looking forward to seeing these two get out of the nest. Soon?

Welcome to BCAW, Buncombe! :grwelcom Like your choice of names!

Its a little early for them to fledge. They need many more dark feathers before they'll be ready to fledge, so we should be able to watch them for a couple of weeks yet.

Yeah, I kept looking at that thinking maybe her beak was just dirty, but I do think its injured. The good thing is they can grow new beaks, but I don't know how long that takes.
