Some one is in the box now...might be mom.

Well, I just spotted an adult, too - I think Guinevere. Shes looking good! Hey - Very nice catch, SGB, and I like the emoticon, too ....... I forget who it was.......? catwoman? Getting old aint for sissies!!! LOL

Oh my goodness, I was all set to post about my Monday sighting, but you all beat me to it !

Ground report: 9:52 a.m. Monday July 29. After a long time seeing no one, I finally saw a falcon on the nest box. After I parked, I realized that there were TWO falcons ! The smaller one was perched on the nest box railing and the larger one was perched on the right corner of the County City Building. As I watched them , they started a brief simultaneous preening and stretching session. I walked forward two steps and in that brief moment, the smaller falcon disappeared, only to reappear just as quickly after a few minutes. I think it popped in and out of the nest box. The other falcon assumed a sitting/squatting position with her body covering her feet. I am wondering if this might possibly be Clementine because in the many times I saw her on cam in June and early July, she favored a sitting pose ( as shown in 2nd pic from July 2nd and the pic from June 21 ) and I don't remember Guinevere doing that.
I had to leave and get back to work, but I guess Monday was Falcon Hang-out day, as shown by you faithful watchers !

Well, Guinevere is Still there - perched on the platform just at the edge of the nest, standing absolutely still, dozing a bit, looking around at bit, but never changing her position....

Ground report: Driving by the building today on my way to work, ( about 1:15 pm ) I saw one of our chums perched on the middle of the east side of the building. Sometimes they come there before a storm and although it was sunny at the time I observed, a sudden storm came through less that an hour later.
looking at cam 5:18 pm , no one is there but there are fresh bird droppings.........

Guinevere is home this morning. She's doing some housekeeping... hmm looks like she is bowing - I wonder if Zeus stopped in? Cant see him....

I have not seen anyone at all since I last posted, although I faithfully check almost every time I drive through downtown. I guess that maybe the Indiana and Michigan countryside and the Lake Michigan dunes might be a lot more exciting than our lil old nestbox. Then again, our falcon friends may easily have been downtown without my knowing, since I don't have much time to spend watching these days.

Thank you for taking the time to do a drive by and look for G and Z sbwatcher. One of these days they are going to surprise you and both be there! Do you know if Guinevere migrates? I cannot remember from before, and I guess we'll have to see if Zeus hangs around.
