A couple from today. There were a few times I checked and neither were around. I think we can safely assume they have officially fledged but continue to come back home. 55/AV was there alone this morning but both were there tonight. It's really too hot to do much flying and they have the only shade right a home, why would they go far? Plus the island is full of shore birds for hunting practice...

Great captures, SGB & Barb! :clap: I'm convinced now that there isn't a beak injury, thank goodness! Might be a little scarring, but nothing to worry about. Hopefully, flying around now & then will help the girls keep cool.

56/AV had been out and about (I still can't call her Bertha..LOL) She had just landed and her sister was soooooooooooo excited to finally have some company..

"Bertha" went into the box and found some leftovers..they both went to the other side

...and a couple of minutes later landed on the other side of the platform..

Current...I personally don't think she has actually flown. Not that I keep the cam up 12 hours a day, but she is always there. As of yesterday, part of her wing feathers were still in their sheaths. I haven't seen them today...Bertha was there around 8 am...

Thanks Barb...

I have checked several times today..and I think our lounge lizard (falcon) has finally taken to the skies!! :sum9: She's not in all her normal spots. I know there are several places that are out of cam view, so she may be there, but I don't think so...

Hopefully they will both be back later on today...
