Thanks, Kris!

I guess its been several days since DC has been seen? Kinda early for migration from that area, isn't it (although I think he left fairly early last year, too)?

DC was seen yesterday by MAK but, so far today, he's not been seen by any watchers. He left early November last year but Orion was a late baby so that's maybe why he didn't leave in October like all our other tiercels did.

Thanks, Kris. So its October that peregrines from that area usually migrate. Glad he was seen yesterday.

Just catching up today...

I think Carol saw both DC & B on her watch. From the Twitter feed, looks like she reported it at 2:50pm ET

DT. B&DC have not moved. B on NE box on FCT and DC on north side of OCSR. Sky is clearing a bit

Saw the update on Baron! How FANTASTIC!

On a side note, I was looking at the link on the Canton thread to C&C's Facebook page. There were some observations reported by C&C regarding one member of a pair possibly not recognizing their mate if there was some kind of change (a wet Diana and Mystic/Mo). Made me wonder if DC did not recognize B or vice versa, when he returned. Beauty looked so much different at the start of this season than last season. Just a thought.

MAK saw all 3 adult Falcons today but no kids-maybe they've left as no sightings of them in a couple days.

Beauty and DC this AM on base of Mercury together. This might be the closest they will get post-season but at least they're together! He is doing some bonding with Pigott though-was heard chupping with her the other day in their cubby.

Beauty visited the box this afternoon while DC stayed on top of TSB.

MAK tweeted this AM while on watch:

MAKfalcon (MAK): The last 15 minutes I have watched P chase a tiercel and aggressively thump it in the air. It started with him flight displaying

MAKfalcon (MAK): Tiercel was flying back and forth in front of and above P on vent. Many chases and landings ensued with some vocalizing from one

MAKfalcon (MAK): All quiet now with P on W end of S side vent with no sighting of the tiercel in the last few minutes

MAK told me it was a juvie bugging Pigott today and she really didn't like him! :teehee:

Interesting developments in past 24 hrs-DC hasn't migrated yet, has been seen downtown with Beauty yesterday and today plus has been with Pigott at BS as observed by watchers this past week. Last night, Cariol was on watch and saw Pigott with a tiercel that she reported as "not acting like DC". Today, watchers have seen an unbanded tiercel with Pigott for much of the day with some vocalizations, flying together and tandem hunting. They say Pigott seems comfortable with him and wonder if UT from last year is back. MAK's AM report with pics and videos:

Thanks for the update Kris. I've been watching the Twitter feed between chores. Definitely interesting. I kept looking at the tweets expecting to read of DC's arrival at BS and some kind of interaction between the 2 tiercels.

I hope now, as we are approaching the "off" season, things stay calm. I guess I wonder if DC is in a position where he can see down there?

I thought it might be the guy from last year too, interesting developments. Let's hope it doesn't end bad. Last year's UT fought with another passer by if I remember right and won.

What I find interesting is no sighting of DC at Brighton all day with lots of watchers there to see if he came around. Some tweets said Pigott seemed comfortable with the unbanded tiercel but then later someone said she gave UT the evil eye. UT even went into the cubby area too! I could see this happening with DC on migration but... Strange all around.
