But I hold on.

Someone there today. In the window, then looking about and takes off. Back within a minute and goes inside the box. I was hoping the other would follow, but no. Cameras are off and on.

Yes, the problems with our cams are not yet solved: The firm which sponsors the Livestream asks the local server in Heidelberg`s City Administration to send the datas (data-flow) from the cams in a special form/code from Heidelberg to "Blitzeinschlag.de". This seems to be difficult to accomplish, our helping-hands in City Administration try to get some advice from AXIS...
We hope the cams will run when "action" is started next month!
What we see now - thank you for the snapshots! - is tiercel PERKEO waiting for JETTA ...

I just missed the best shot ever. One of the falcons straight in and I hit the button too late, but I did get a shot until they went over to the side. And the outside cam is not working right now.


This is just from last night , someone there. They say we had the 'wolf moon' last night, the biggest and brightest of the year. Maybe he/she was looking at it.


Well the night shot looks kinda blurry now that it's posted, but I will leave anyway.

I was told by a friend that both falcons were seen on saturday circling the steeple and calling...

Came across this recently. Pretty sure this is taken from Heidelberg castle. Is the chuch where the falcons live in the background? This is 1993 I think.

Yes, indeed this photo was taken from "Scheffel-Terrasse", part of the castle`s park, in Heidelberg! It shows on the right the Protestant Heiliggeistkirche (Holy-spirit-church), built in 1386, home of PERKEO & JETTA. On the left you see the Catholic Jesuitenkirche, where the adult falcons often perch, eat and sleep. When the young falcons fledge they use to live, feed and sleep on this steeple,too or in the ruins of Heidelberg Castle until they leave Heidelberg in august/september. I live in the street behind the place from where ljames took this photo, 20 minutes to walk, so we can meet next time, you are welcome!

Forgot to write that Heidelberg falcons stare from the nesting-box directly to Scheffel-Terrasse where ljames took this photo! You see this place in the background of our Cam 1. When the young falcons learn how to take the prey from their parents` talons & how to stoop, this is a good point to watch them screaming & flying over historic part of Heidelberg, so you should pay a visit in june...
