I find it interesting that Eve's beak never closes completely. Wonder if it has scar tissue inside the mouth or if it just regrew with a higher curve. it obviously doesn't affect her feeding.

I always thought her jaw might have been broken at one point..Remember her first year with babies...we were so worried about her ability to feed them...she did great..but got food all over them AND herself...

Its interesting that Mitchell is still in the box...he was there when the cam went off line last evening...He looks ok... preening, dozing, and looking around..Glad to have him...just strange for him to be there all morning...looks like a beautiful day too...

Never thought about that...good point!! After seeing CCB's 2014 Report (and the falcon attempting to nest on the sand dunes) everybody may be looking for a place to nest off the ground!!

I cannot tell if Eve is injured or if she just step in her dinner. She was really picking at that leg, but doesn't appear to have any problems putting weight on it...

Looks like she had down feather "fluff" stuck to the other foot, so I'm gonna say it was prey blood on the other leg. Of course some prey can bite back, so tomorrow may reveal more...
