I'm not so sure you all ... fog has not been an issue today in the tri-state ... visibility is 10 miles in Petersburg right now ... strong to severe storms later this eve.

I think you are right SWINWK. I have been gone most of the day and am heading to the hospital shortly with the dog. If it is still like this tomorrow morning, I will get in touch with someone.

Well, the cam is definitely having issues..maybe its something as simple as resetting the focus...who knows..

John copied me to his contact in Petersburg asking about this cam. If I have not received a reply by tomorrow morning, I will contact again. I sure hope this is not as good as it is going to get...

I just heard from Greg in Petersburg and I think we may be out of a cam this season. Oh, I just hate that we are having trouble during hatching. I asked him to let me know if there are hatches that they can see from the ground without disturbing the falcons.

"I reset the router and camera but no luck. I need to look at it but don’t want to disturb the birds"

If there is any change I will advise.

Sorry to hear this. Such a nice cam and view at this nest, but of course I sure wouldn't want the falcons disturbed.

Me too! This is a drivable distance for me. I am going to check the map sometime, to see if there is a public area where I can view nest area @ the times the fledges are flying about.

If this nest is like the IPL nest in Indy, the area is restricted. I will email John and ask about it SWINWK.

Oh I realize IPL property is restricted, but if John knows of unrestricted area that the public can catch a glimpse (binoculars) of the fledges flying, that would be great! :eggup:

I did just get a reply and there really isn't any good area that you might see the peregrines SWINWK. Sure wish there were, both in Petersburg and on Harding Street.

I suppose you could drive around the perimeter on public property, but that might even raise a red flag.

A few years ago Homeland Security, who rented office space in Market Tower, asked us to leave a parking garage next door because of our binoculars and cameras. However when we explained what we were doing, they consented to allow us to stay. You just never know. A worker for the Federal Courthouse was not so agreeable. Was going to arrest us if we did not leave their property. Luckily the juvie we were tracking flew to another unrestricted area of downtown. Crazy!
