So happy to hear that Weber is Green Girl...I remember you telling me about her last year, so she must be a special one. I am sorry that Miss E hasn't shown up yet...though with the young one there, I'm not sure if I hope she does or not...

I know how special both of them are to you Bev. You are right, this is where nature does its thing and we have to sit back and watch. Was Gord able to get the geese out of the nest? Were they laying eggs in there already? Poor things.

we were treated to a real aerial display this evening from our male and female at Weber. it was so windy and they were so enjoying it. Peter tried to get video but it was so windy

our tech guy for cams has worked real hard at getting these cams going for us. I thank him very much. He is always there when I text him.

yes Weber is up and running. they got it going yesterday. male and female have been in ox already

we have positive Id on DO1 - same male as last 3 years

M26-green girl form 2013 hatch at U of A. I am sad MIss E has no t returned but I am glad you has arrived.

we see them form ground and she is at side of box a lot of times he is in. Green is used to box but not one with bars Do no t think she likes the bars. She always hits one

Sorry about Miss. E...but very exciting to have Mother and daughter both in Edmonton, on camera. Must be such a relief when you see one of them come back and doing so well! I would LOVE to know how Blue is doing, from last year...she was quite the little princess!

Will you be coming up with a name for Green Girl if she stays...I'd like to put Gigi (GG) forward ;) Though she may sound more like a night club dancer - than a falcon...lol

yeah that was green girl outside the box. he is just trying to get her in there.
when we are watching form ground, I am saying, go in there it is O.K. she is from our box at U of A but not used to bars. and she is just two in June

A few have asked about naming her and I would jsut like to stay with green girl if that is O.K. with everyone. our biologists will just call her M26.

I will postpictures later from a few days but have been busy checking out our sites from the ground

well it looks like it will be green girl this year. I am a tad sad as MIss Edmonton was my first falcon to watch here in Edmonton. My very first falcon was Beauty at Buffalo, with Kimmarie, and then Mariah and Kyver, but I have followed MIss Edmonton through good and bad times, since 2005. She has been my girl. The biologists let me name her MIss E , they never name falcons.

We have had highs and lows together, but mostly highs. I have held her and followed her. You know , our older falcons have a certain type of greatness, that can never be forgotten. She was 12 years old and Gord says that for a migrating falcons that is tops. If they make it over that it is really good.

I always say good bye to her every season. I thank her for all she has taught me and say :"hope to see you next year"
but this year , she chose South America ,and who can blame her, with the weather here. she is sipping champagne .

When I know things are all settled down on our sites, I will go back and find pictures and do a real nice tribute to her.

But if I had to pass the torch, who better than Green girl. She has proven how tenacious she is. She came through a lot and made it her to her second year. She has a lot to learn and is learning from Do1 , who was taught by Miss E

So we open a new chapter. lets hope the read is as good.
