MISSED HOW THE KID GOT A LEG AND FOOT IN IT'S MOUTH, PROBABLY LIL DAD GAVE IT TO THEM SINCE HE WAS IN THERE LOOKING AROUND FOR SCRAPS TO GIVE THEM AS THEY CRIED TO HIM. IT GOT IT DOWN THOUGH, LOL!

I've not seen a feeding in the hour or so that I've had the cam on this morning. Around 9:00, Lil Dad was there checking on things. Chicks were pecking at his beak. One of the chicks found a discarded foot and ate it. Food has now arrived and Niecey is feeding them. Looks like another Jay, but NOT the one sitting on my deck right now. :-)

They are really catching the Jays! Bummer!

They are now able to get themselves out of the sun! Hurrah!

parent is outside the scrape at stick's base vocalizing. ordering a grocery delivery perhaps at 1030am?

am not sure but the shadow movent left of screen hints at the other parent, lil dad??, is outside the scrape begging to come in

Somewhere around 12:30 Lil Dad was outside the scrape at the back door. He finally came into the scrape and found a couple scraps to feed the chicks. He's been standing outside the scrape for a while, almost out of view. Chicks are looking for some shade.

Niecey just finished a feeding. Two chicks have collapsed while the third one is busy picking at itself. It is quite warm here today, near 80. Light wind, and downright beautiful.

NIECEY JUST SHOWED UP, PICKED UP A LEG FROM THE SCRAPE, THOUGHT SHE WAS GOING TO TRY TO FEED IT TO THE KIDS, BUT SHE TOOK OFF WITH IT. PRETTY SURE SHE GOT UP ON THE CAM PERCH THEN BECAUSE THE KIDS WERE LOOKING UP THERE AND THE CAM SURE WAS BOUNCING, LOL!

Just watched a feeding. Chicks appeared to be quite hungry. Two of them were having a little tug of war over a good sized piece of food. It looked like they tore it apart in their beaks and they both got some. At one point Niecey had a foot and swallowed it. She also scarfed down quite a few feathers.

Checking in after being out since around 9:30 this morning. Am seeing three sprawled chicks in the scrape. And obviously at least one Blue Jay was on the menu today.
