Was away from the computer for a bit, and when I returned there was a feeding going on. All chicks looked stuffed, and after the feeding all huddled in the back corner of the scrape.

My what big crops you have! "the better to gorge some more". Feeding ended at 520. Jaybird was on the menu again

There is one very active chick that is trying to feed itself some leftovers, and may have actually gotten a bite. And yes, Beagles, you will be able to watch the banding through the cam site.

KIDS HAVE BEEN ALONE IN THE SCRAPE SINCE I TUNED IN BEFORE DAYLIGHT. NIECEY HAS BEEN ON THE SHIELD. IT'S 6:34 NOW AND NIECEY IS CALLING AND CALLING. NOT SURE WHAT THAT'S ABOUT.

6:39, I CAN HEAR LIL DAD LIKE HE HAS FOOD FOR NIECEY TO COME AND GET IT.

FINALLY NIECEY COMES IN WITH A THUMP WITH A BLUE JAY.

EWWWW, NIECEY ATE BOTH LEGS AND FEET! WELL AT LEAST THAT'S BETTER THAN GIVING THEM TO THE KIDS.

NIECEY JUST CAME IN WITH ANOTHER BIRD! I THINK MAYBE A CARDINAL :-(

AT ONE POINT ONE CHICK HAD SOME FEATHERS IN IT'S TALONS WITH MEAT AT THE END, EATING IT ALONE. NOW ALL 3 ARE JUMPING AT NIECEY FOR FOOD, LOL!

AT THE END OF THE FEEDING, ONE WAS EATING A LEG, BUT EVERYTIME IT GOT TO THE FOOT, IT COULDN'T DO IT. FINALLY IT SPIT IT OUT TOTALLY, THANK GOD!

I've been sitting here watching for quite a while. When I first tuned in, one of the chicks was amusing itself with that Jay wing. Next Niecey came in with some food, which I also thought was a Cardinal. :-(

Not long after that, Lil Dad came in with more food, and fed the already stuffed chicks. Niecey must be over on the U Building to allow him to feed an entire meal. Agreed that the one chick with the white feet is a girl, although two have white feet.

JANE, IF YOU LOOK AT THIS PICTURE, THAT ONE HAS REALLY WHITE FEET. THE OTHER ONE HAS YELLOW AND THE ONE IN BETWEEN HAS LIGHT YELLOW.

Looks like an escape for me off the ward on May 21! I need to go on a shooting spree with my Nikons and I cant think any better of a place or subjects to shoot :dancingegg:
