I saw her walking earlier and I think it is in the nictitating membrane, near the outer corner. I saw her blink her eye, so I'm also hoping no damage to her vision.

Just watching a feeding and the foot is still stuck in her eye. Clara did attempt to snag it at one point but she pulled back in obvious distress. It has not stopped her from eating with the others but I wonder if it's getting jammed in there more and more. It's terrible to see. I wish there was something they could do as it sure to become infected even if it does come loose. Poor little baby.

Thanks for sharing that video with us, mw! That's just heartbreaking to watch this little girl in obvious distress but she's no whithering violet, that's for sure! I was concerned for Clara's safety. Heaven help the people who try to band this one's chicks, or try to rescue her if she goes to ground. :egg14:

Foot is still there, but she's feisty enough to steal food from her sister and then Clara!

Boy, Clara's got her hands full with these 3 girls!

I am really hoping she has a safe f ledge but to ground. that way she can get medical attention. I have been following and it seems pretty wedged.

Ditto!

I saw a post on Yahoo group that one sister got hold of it & yanked at 2 different times, but it did not come out.

Jody posted earlier that she got a good view of it this morning and it's in the inner corner, possible on the membrane.

It is not stopping her from moving around, or going to food!

Sorry, I can't really watch the cam. I try to just check every now and then to see if that foot is gone. It's not. They were having breakfast.

Now that the awful leg is out of the little gal's eye, it seem that she is keeping that eye closed for the most part, unless its just the eye tissue swelling. Also there seems to be some white fluffy stuff stuck just below the affected eye.

I hope there is no infection!

She seems very hungry and just grabbed Dad by the foot to let him know. He took off in a hurry!

Hunter (00/Z): there is a lot of fluff blowing around the nestbox, so I hope that the stuff stuck below her eye is just leftover baby down. :loveheart2:

I cannot remember which one , but one of kids pulled out the leg.
it was Buzo .

keeping closed is not a bad thing. Remember pour adult at Toledo last year, everyone was worried about her eye.

so fingers crossed

Buzo, really? I picked Vayu. Oh well. I hope there is no infection, but I also hope that somebody gets a chance to look at her at some point and treat it.
