Parent was behind the box but the juvie on the ledge was like, oh no you don't, I can get down there now. They are all still there on the ledge. As far as I can tell the eye looks better and she can open it, but it still looks different when she closes it. I don't know what that means. Doesn't seem to make a difference in her activity. I wish they could examine her.

I'm not sure it this little juvie fledged or not. She was there with her wings out, not flapping hard like you see them do before takeoff, then they pulled the camera back and I didn't see her anymore. Well she could be in the nestbox, I guess, but I don't think so.

Food was prepared on the parapet and brought to the ledge . Maybe no more fledges for the moment because it was looking pretty close for a minute or two there.

edit to add pic

Thanks bev. She was preening? Well a girl has to look her best when all binoculars are on her.

:flirty:

So funny, right now there is a juvie posted on each ledge up next to the wall. Kinda hard to tell even on full screen, put pretty sure. Oh wait, they are zooming now.

Oh Wow, she's doing great! Thanks for the info.

Just checked the cam again and see lots of flybys. The juvie on the ledge got totally excited and started flapping and jumped up on the wall and I could see her shadow in rapid motion but she didn't go yet. Both are still there for the moment.
One on the ledge and one on the wall.

Well, I don't see the shadows anymore. Wish they'd move the cam so that we could actually see on the wall.

Just turned the cam back on and saw a bird go off the wall kinda sideways. Could have been a parent but I was watching out the corner of my eye and thought it was acting like a juvie prior. :egg14:

Then the juvie on the ledge jumped up to the wall.

Well, they've pulled the cam back and there is only one juvie on the wall and it is running and flapping to the other end.

Thanks from me for your reports, too, ljames! Do you know which of the girls has the bad eye? I'm kinda hoping she goes to ground without getting hurt so they can take a look at that eye.

Oh my, a rescue already. Poor little Sky getting harassed by crows. :eggsad:
Right now I am seeing Hunter eating away on the wall and Clara preparing additional prey(and eating some of it) on the wall. Oops, and she just left, no doubt to feed the others. A busy day in San Jose and in front of the cam too.
:eggroll:

bev. I can't imagine that they would mind you passing along the information and I'm sure everybody here appreciates it. I am a member of the Yahoo group and do get around to reading the info sometimes. I don't get alerts or anything though.

well at least it appeared to be just a normal rescue. I would have thought the parents would stay by her more to get rid of crows.

I will give you any news I have .
