Been a while since seeing Niecey on the point. Keeping an eye on the chicks.
They are all lounging along the stick.

After the feeding One of the chicks just missed Niecey with a poop shot. Sorry, didn't get it a picture.

What a great catch of Niecey coughing up that pellet, ljames. I was watching that recent feeding on the ledge a bit ago, but was trying to get something in the oven for dinner and couldn't pay as much attention as I would have liked. Niecey is standing guard on the point now, two chicks on either side of the stick, and the third one must have gone down the ledge further out of camera view.

Wow, more dinner. Looks like either a whole Mockingbird or Yellow-billed Cuckoo. And I THINK it's Lil Dad doing the feeding. Yep, it was Lil Dad. He's on the stick now.

Lil Dad was sitting on the point for a while. He took off, and Niecey is back cleaning her talons. One chick sacked out in front of the scrape, and the other two standing nearby up against the building.

I cannot imagine what on earth Niecey is doing up there. She was acting like a juvie over by the stick, looked like she was trying to eat the cement, thumping around, and various other strange behaviors. Lil Dad was on the stick but went over to the point watching all of this. Chicks look quite puzzled, too. This all started around 8:00. Niecey and Lil Dad are both gone at the moment.

8pm not sure what's going on but looks like Niecey having a cleaning fit going along side the stick, while the 3 kids watch and scream but they are starting to settle down all huddled in front of the window.
Li'l Dad was watching from the point.
I hear Li'l Dad honking from somewhere.

That was a very late feeding done by Niecey. One chick showed no interest at all, then another, and finally the last one lost interest. Niecey finished the meal herself and then went over to the stick. I guess all three chicks are going to sleep in a huddle in front of the scrape next to the building. It is to get quite chilly here tonight after all that heat.

THE KIDS HAVE BEEN SCREAMING AT NIECEY OFF AND ON ALL MORNING. FINALLY THEY WERE QUIET FOR A BIT AND LIL DAD SHOWS UP SOMEWHERE ON THE LEDGE. NIECEY DIDN'T BUDGE FROM THE SHIELD. SAW LIL DAD FLY OFF TOWARDS THE UNIV. MAYBE HE'S GOING TO DEFEATHER PREY? KIDS WENT CRAZY WHEN THEY HEARD LIL DAD THOUGH. FINALLY THEY ARE QUIET AGAIN, LOL! WELL THEY WERE. SO FUNNY HOW NIECEY JUST IGNORES THEM.

LIL DAD JUST BROUGHT IN A BALTIMORE ORIOLE ON THE POINT, WAS GOING TO DEFEATHER IT AND NIECEY WENT DOWN AFTER IT AND TOOK IT UP TO THE KIDS TO BE FED. LIL DAD RELOCATED TO THE STICK TO SUPERVISE AND AT ONE POINT SEEMED TO BE SCOLDING THE KIDS SOME?

Am dealing with some issues here at home this morning regarding my baby Bluebirds, one of which I rescued and put back in the nest box. Am seeing three sacked out chicks in the box right now with Niecey on the shield. Might not be able to watch much today.

THERE WAS JUST A FEEDING WHERE ONE KID DECIDED TO EAT A BUNCH OF LONG FEATHERS AND DIDN'T FED, TOO BUSY TRYING TO GET THE FEATHERS DOWN. WAS ONLY A SMALL BIRD ANYWAYS.
