My fondest memories of NG were of her, LO, and Lil' Dad. The three of them were so precious together, beautiful and so funny too. She won me over almost immediately doing all the crazy things she did. She always looked exotic and a little sad too, somehow to me. It was heartbreaking to see her like she was in the end and we never knew what happened to her babies that last year. Thank you Faith, for remembering.

Am seeing one chick sort of in front of the scrape up toward the column, and another (barely) down near the bad window 7:20 this morning.

THAT'S WHAT I SAW TOO. FUNNY HOW THEY TEND TO TRAVEL SO QUICKLY OUT OF VIEW. MONDAY MORNING WE SHOULD HAVE NEW VIEWS. NOT REALLY WORRIED ABOUT THE ONES WE CAN'T SEE, LIL DAD AND NIECEY WATCH OVER THEM AND BRING IN FOOD TO GET THEM BACK TO THE SCRAPE WHEN THEY FEEL IT'S NECESSARY :-)

AS FAR AS NG, I TOO LEARNED TO LOVE HER AND HER QUIRKY WAYS. I REMEMBER FINDING HER ON THE WINDOWSILL THAT ONE MORNING, SHE LOOKED SO BAD AND I JUST STOOD THERE AND CRIED. TOOK A VIDEO SO THE GAME COMMISSION COULD SEE WHAT SHE LOOKED LIKE TOO. I WAS THE ONLY ONE OUTSIDE WATCHING HER THE DAY SHE TOOK OFF AROUND 333 MARKET TO NEVER RETURN AGAIN...............I'M SO HAPPY WE KNOW WHERE ONE OF HER KIDS ARE :-)

HERE'S EVERYONE AT 6AM THIS MORNING.

Making a quick check on the cam. All three chicks are in the scrape as of 9:53 this morning. Niecey is up on the shield. It's getting overcast here, and some storms might arrive later today.

I too have fond memories of NG and her ways. I remember seeing her toward the end by way of Reenie and my heart broke that she was suffering.

On a happier note, it's great to see these little ones getting their feathers and being adventurous as they start to grow up.

Tuned in around 12:40. Chicks were in various places. Around 12:45 Niecey brought what was certainly a whole Blue Jay into the scrape. It didn't take all three chicks long to get in there. For a little while white foot was in the back and didn't get anything. The three had Niecey boxed into the corner up against the shield. One chick, I think the larger yellow foot, must have been full, and moved away. Little yellow foot wound up with a Jay foot, and finally go the thing down. Two now still in the scrape, and I think it's the larger yellow foot down by the window.

Chicks are out on the ledge, maybe halfway between the stick and the orange post. It is getting ready to storm here, and heard thunder via the web cam. MOST of the severe stuff is going south of Harrisburg. I think if somebody was over on the Chestnut Street garage roof right now they'd be able to see one chick. Hope they have enough sense to get closer to the building. I see it's raining downtown, and just started at my place.

Niecey was there a bit ago and fed about two bites of some half eaten prey the one chick at the window. She took off with it, but might be down further on the ledge. Hard to tell if it's blowing downtown, but it is at my place, and raining pretty hard. No chicks in view at the moment.

Tuned in around 6:50, and a feeding was underway by Niecey The three chicks had their backs to the camera. They were not mobbing Niecey this time and each waited very patiently to be fed. Niecey took off with the remains. Maybe not. One chick is trying to feed itself something, but don't think there's much left. And I think it's one of the chicks making an alarm call. Can see its beak moving and hear the sound, so that must be it.

WHAT CAN i AY ABOUT NG.

I loved her and her ways. She came in after Ma which were hard shoes to fill. I wanted more of her . But I think sh e taught us all an appreciation of whoever adorns these ledges. They live the life a falcon lives. They do not know that we have a favorite and may displace them. They just carry on doing what they are meant to do.

they raise young and if we are lucky, we get to see the young again. They all have their endearing qualities. They grow on us. they tolerate us. They must fight the odds. They allow us to learn and adore .

wherever you are NG , you made a difference. :egg17: :egg17: :egg17:

Reenie, you said we know where one of her kids are. where???

I'm not Reenie, but I can tell you that NG's one and only baby from 2011 is the resident nesting male at the Conowingo Dam in Maryland. We dubbed him "Little One". He did hold the record for the fastest return to the nest ledge after fledging - about 10 minutes! His record was broken last year, I think. The Conowingo Dam is about an hour and a half drive from Harrisburg. Not sure how far in air miles that would be. It's the last dam on the Susquehanna River before it empties into the Chesapeake Bay.

It's been raining at my place, too. Nothing much. One chick, probably little yellow foot, was entertaining itself in the puddle over by the column. About five minutes ago, Niecey brought in something VERY small. One chick, I think the larger yellow foot, took it from Niecey and mantled it. Niecey didn't seem to be able to get it back. White foot came over and also was working on that food.
