Beautiful parent (Moxie?) hanging out with the babies... Banding day Friday!!!!

This is the first time I've seen one of the kids sleeping on top of the wood trim! :egg14:

Good catch, Catwoman..every time I see one of these kids with resting on the "trim", I think of Freedom!! :loveheart:

Surprise! Laura an I attended the banding. First thing to report: the second chick banded, female b/r D/79 named Talon has frounce and has gone to Soarin Hawk rescue for treatment. She was very quiet during what is normally a screaming fest. I will report more later with photos.

Female b/r D/80 T.Swift
Female b/r D/81 Air-ica

So glad you got to go, gigi...but, very sorry to hear that one of the chicks has frounce...did they treat the others to be on the safe side...I hope?

I am not sure if anything was given to the other chicks and apparently none of the other 3 exhibited symptoms. But in John's opinion and those from Soarin Hawk, Talon was severe enough to require treatment above and beyond what is routinely done at banding.

Not sure how good my pics will be since it was hard to get a clear shot. My Memorial Day guests have arrived but I will try to get them posted tonight or tomorrow.

Gigi - Did you look behind the couch? My kitty loves to drag things around and hide them behind the couch.... I even found a necklace back there one time.... Crazy cat!!

Good idea! I will look for it once my company leaves town. Also missing is the instruction book, so it has to be around here somewhere.
