Well that is interesting. My first thought is banding or ringing, but that does not seem to be the case.

Everybody was just hanging out, one sleeping , the other two doing a little flapping. Thought they had probably just finished a meal, but in a little while food was brought in, so got to watch them eat. Got plenty.

One looking at the ceiling, but actually he wasn't getting his turn.

I am sorry to have been absent here for some weeks! I left Heidelberg on april, 30th immediately after banding event to live with my wife in Vienna, Austria until june, 1st. Yes, we have banded two tiercels MELCHIOR; SULPIZ and a female HILDE - story is to long to be told why we choose these names - the tiercels left may, 24th early in the morning -30th day after hatch and HILDE seems to have been pushed off the nestbox - landing bar by mother PALATINA- by accident? - may,27th in the evening.
All well now. Neighbors living in historical part of Heidelberg tell me parents and juvies are heard and seen in the sky.

Thank you! Oh yes! Every day another museum or palace or café etc.
European medias tell us: Now Vienna is world`s most agreeable city (security, ambiance, wellness, housing, parks, education, climate, wealth, traffic, community etc.) Followed in ranking by Stockholm (Sweden), Zurich (Switzerland)...
But I discovered no Peregrine falcons!
At a terrible-looking memory of WW II - a monstrous bunker, not removable because of its extremely thick concrete walls - in Augarten-Park I discovered two Pf- nest boxes but empty...
Austrian birders told us: Some years ago pf used to stay there in winter -time, but not breeding. But every day we watched kestrels (Falco tinnunculus) soaring around the steeple of Stephansdom...
