Durand just left and 1 on far ledge, 1 on side porch and 1 in nest! :egg17:

If anyone happened to be recording the ledge cam around 2:45 pm -- I'm not sure what I saw! A parent landed on the middle part of the ledge and the kids were screaming like crazy. I thought another parent was coming in on the far side of the ledge, but then I saw a bird off in the distance. Did one of the kids get blown off of the ledge and then flap furiously to get back up? There were raindrops on the camera and the wind was gusting. A little while later I saw Bolt get blown off of the upper ledge onto the lower ledge right in front of the cam. It didn't seem to bother him, he just jumped right back onto the ledge!

vlu328, I did not witness event. So you have seen all 3 juvies since event ... correct? I can hear them right now, but can not see them.

Okay, I can see the whole juvie crew down @ the far ledge!

Yes, all 3 were present afterward. It had to have been the second parent that I saw go off the ledge and fly right back up. The little ones wouldn't have that kind of control yet, especially in the wind, right?

You all, I saw flying in distance. I think Spark went after it, while Durand was on ledge. I saw flying by 2 in distance earlier with possible contact. After awhile Spark came in with food and I had hoped @ that time it was an exchange. Durand came in shortly after. At work and can not watch continuous.

This group likes to dazzle us with their feet! LOL At one point there was quite the flapping frenzy going on with all three of them flapercizing!

I promise I will try for head shots next time. :teehee:

sorry jsut got home so, did nto see any of what you mention. SGB recorded yesterday, Durand having problems landing yesterday. Durand had to abort landing and try again.

Just getting home...thanks for the coverage everyone..

so, I open the cam and what do I see? Bolt, in front of the ledge cam with prey...live prey...I couldn't watch...closed the cam..

I've opened it back up...thankfully, the little bird is now deceased..and Bolt still has no clue what to do with it..Parent was watching this entire process in the middle of the ledge..(I haven't figured out which parent yet)...Parent has just now come over and is defeathering while Bolt watches...oops...parent just left with the prey..

1 kid is lounging in the box door and I don't see #3...but, Bolt has the view of the ledge blocked..

Back later with a few pics..

Oh...and Storm was the one in the box door...now to try and find Flash...

Earlier today I saw Flash steal prey away from Spark. She seemed to have trouble tearing off bites. Storm and Bolt tried to get some bites, but also had trouble. They eventually lost interest and started screaming for more dinner!

Bolt and the bird...

He really couldn't figure out what to do, so parent came in..eventually took the bird and left..

I left the time on a few of these pics..

The 2 girls are/were the ones in the box...

No late feed like last night..
