Oh No, I just read on the Rfalconcam Facebook page that MAK is in the hospital (ER) with clots in both lungs. Sending good thoughts and prayers her way.

"Heart test done- waiting for results and chomping at the bit to find out if I'm being discharged! I'm so bored today!"

They were going to do probably an echocardiogram to make sure things were ok there.

Question..the eyases are 21, 22 and 23 days old today with no banding announcement in sight. What's the latest they can safely be banded? The DEC pulls this every year since Beauty has been in Rochester. In Mariah and Kaver's days, there was a big deal with guests and it was announced way ahead of time..sadly, not anymore.

They've gone as late as 27-28 days up here. I always get nervous when they start wandering, too much risk they'll bolt. This year they're going early for a change, planning around the banders vacation time maybe :teehee:

The Eyases Will be Banded Friday Morning at Approximately 10:30 am
Banding will take place Friday morning at approximately 10:30 am. There will not be live camera coverage of the actual banding. However, we plan to keep our nest box cameras running and post updates to our Forum, Facebook, and Twitter throughout the event.

Local watchers will be able to view the banding from the Broad Street bridge. We ask that people refrain from going onto rooftops of nearby buildings as this would further stress the adult falcons attempting to protect their eyases.
