No special news from here: MELCHIOR, SULPIZ and HILDE can still be seen - and heard! - in the sky over Heidelberg`s historic centre. Sometimes we see them standing on top of the churches`steeples, on the walls of the castle or even cruising through the streets in a astonishing low height, - what we never see with the adult falcons...

We are glad to see that PALATINA is present at the nest box! The days before in the morning hours a pair of local pigeons used to parade here entering the box etc. ! (There are snapshots in our "Bildergalerie" www.ag-wanderfalken.de)
In January 2016 we are anxious to stop another attack of Nilegoose to gain this nesting place.
We are working on a computer program to recognize Peregrine falcon and Nilegoose and differentiate & discriminate one from the other.
Pf is to enter the nest box without any harm, GOOSEZILLA will be confronted with sudden noise (Nil goose cry of fear plus "Bang!" and popping of flash-bulbs).
I am not sure wether we will be able to scare away those very aggressive geese "by a little help of my friends" and shielding the Pfs...
So keep your fingers crossed!!
