jean thinks yellow was back at Uni early morning. She thought she saw 3 juvenilles

August 10
this was first day we saw yellow at University, but he did go home for a bite later on in day. I am too attached to these birds this year. WE had so many problems . But Yellow is a little closer to my heart.

this slideshow, shows , where he was when he came in and where Do1 and Green girl were. DO1 did do some flybys but then was O.K. with Yellow. Green girl flew out of box and took prey down to letters and yellow quickly flew off and grabbed and ate on ledge. After a bit he flew to Center 104 where he finished eating.

He looked good that day and so I am really hoping he is eating well. We have seen no aggression against him while we have been at Uni. And he may go back to Weber every day but we cannot be there 24 hours.
I was hoping cams would be back up by now to help us. But..........

I will be posting more photos in U of A later that will show him flying over there and with the other two. We have not been there since Friday so hopefully things are good. I have to be positive or I cannot do this.

Ok, Bev ... yes this is your first grandchick that is in the city. But, something is working out in the south and we humans have no idea what peregrines are doing this season. They have challenged you all season with trees , roads and everything else. Take a break and enjoy them.

I am enjoying them. Yellow doing so well at Y of A . will post there later today. Radisson seems to like him

DO1 adn green girl are bonding a lot this last few days

We scope them every time we are there to make sure we have same pair. We know we do but always like the proof.

sure wish I knew if yellow was still coming here. It has been so odd. He was well fed here and if you saw him fly you would know they had to be giving him skills.

SATURDAY AUGUST 22

my friend caught this sound on tape. It was a juvenile. Adult was on roof and did not fly off till the end of tape. My friend listened more and there were no sounds after male flew off. Since we were not there ot observe we do not know if it was yellow, but my gut says yes. Was he accepted, has he been making regular visits , we do not know. We just know we see him at University. Unless one is there all the time , we would not know. I think I have mentioned this before.

We did go there last night and saw both adults on back. Green girl is so huge .It was not as dark as pictures show. It was just the lighting there.

here is a slideshow fo r 2015 season at Weber. this was also a strange year but we had 2 good adults. DO1 proved stellar and he trained Green girl. She still has a lot to learn. remember she is just 2 years old. She is learning, every day.
