Thanks - I missed it (naturally!). Bless her little heart - don't you wonder who was flying by and calling her and who she was hollering to? Sure would love to have sound on this nest!

She did look good! All the kids looked good, so hopefully they will all be safe. I do get annoyed that with school students & all the other people around this nest that they don't do a fledge watch, but this has been the first year in a while that there were a number of babies. Hopefully, they will all be seen peridically so we know they're all safe!

I got excited for a minute thinking this was one of the kids coming for a visit, but its a parent bringing food. Actually its Diamond & she's looking around outside like she's trying to find one of her kids to take the food to.

Well, I pray that she and the others are ok. I hate to see them leave the nest as we can no longer see them and it's miserable wondering and worrying. I don't look for them to come back at the nest. They all fledged so well, but making sure they survive takes a lot more than that, unfortunately.
I'm hoping for the best.

Diamond is in the nest eating. She probably forgot that the kids are all gone & brought this for them. It is a red bird. :girlsad3:

There is an update on the kids. They haven't seen the kids but also haven't found any tell-tale feathers on the ground, so it sounds like the kids are OK. The parents did follow Cilla around & gave her heck while she was looking for the kids, so apparently that's an indication that the kids are around there. Cilla said she will look again after her class.

.... even the last little has flown the nest ... a parent with a prey .... flew away immediately into the trees on the left ... maybe some of them small is good .... flight :loveshow:

Mom is still standing in the doorway. Guess that's a good place for her to be able to keep track of her kids! (I also hope they see the little boy. Actually, I'm thinking he might have been out flying around with dad since Cilla didn't mention seeing Bula.)
