I was watching someone from outside on camera 3 and looked away for a second and they were gone. I said to myself, let me see if that little stinker went in the box, so I switched to cam 2 as cam 1 is not working and look what I found.
So cute, just preening away in there.

Except I don't know which. Well, will get better with identification later. Back in the window now.

Oh my and the camera view just changed to include another window on the left, but I wasn't fast enough to capture it. Couldn't focus quickly enough, wonder if the other falcon was in that window. :duh:

That is PERKEO the tiercel who is always around the steeple, most of the time standing on the very top on the horizontal bar of the cross. JETTA should show up now more often inside the nesting-box! Eggs are usually laid in second week of march in our climate...

A couple more, looks like snooze time.

You know you can't see the falcon from camera 1 when they are in this position so if you just had that camera on, you'd miss it.

I know you could see this one from cam 3 too, but it was focused on a point above the opening of the nest!

I saw that too catwoman. Could the wind have blown the camera?

Possibly...at first I was under the impression that the cam was being remotely controlled, but if that was the case, they would have repositioned it correctly when they were finished! :?

Yes, we have had yesterday in middle-Europe a storm "Xynthia"! In our region some damages, in Baden-Württemberg even some casualities. In Heidelberg Xynthia moved Cam 3 - mounted on the roof of the church - , we put it back into position this morning, but deplore that transmission of cam 1 & 3 are once more interrupted. :(

We have had snow from december until last week, which is rare for our mild climate in southern Germany with Heidelberg only 200 mtrs above sea-level ( so Atlantic or Mediterranean Sea are very far from here!). So life was/is very hard for all the owls or kestrels, but Peregrine Falcons have thousands of pigeons to harvest in our sky!
Now snow is gone here- as you can see via Cam 1- our nights are still cold, about freezing-point.

Watched someone scraping in there today. Picture quality is not good however.

And the flyaway. Looks more like a bird than a bug today.

St.Dionys - protestant church in Esslingen, 80 kmtrs from here, reports two eggs since yesterday! :loveshow: I regret I do not get to their Webcam.
Esslingen happened in the last years always to have the first egg-laying in Baden-Württemberg, Heidelberg used to follow some days later...

Liebe Grüße from sunny but cold Heidelberg

Hi Hans-Martin--sorry its still cold in Heidelberg. Thankfully, Winter is almost over!

You mentioned a webcam in Esslingen--do you happen to have a link for that? (We don't have enough falcon cams to watch!)

This is Jetta, I'm guessing. If that is the nest bowl right beside her, that would be a good place, seen by both cameras.

Oops, she's on the move.
