Here's Dixie on the perch......

Yankee is in the box. He was panting a bit but not much. I think Yankee is befuddled or maybe ill. I just don't know. His eyes are clear. Also he was bent over while I watched calling for Dixie to come in but she would not budge.

I've been watching them a lot and both seem healthy. Amazing. Their devotion to their chicks almost killed them. But I guess it all still is a mystery.

I am getting anxious about the UB nest. It appears their may be a "re-clutch" as they have been mating and surveying the box. Also I think they were pondering if their nest could be on the outside of the box. I have noticed that whenever Dixie or Yankee go into the nest box they start panting for the most part. Will the same thing happen again? I sure hope not. It sounds like a drastic measure but I wish they would remove the nest box. I am leaning towards the nest box being the problem here. :egg16:

Just consider this my thinking aloud. I have absolutely no proof of the nest box being the problem and perhaps I am simplifying the problem......
