Bird Cams Around the World

Last night, I thought somebody was going off for sure, it was the parent.





Zephyr flapped around on the wall for a good while but he finally settled in for bed.

Today

Prey brought to the wall and this time Zephyr made it up there. (Haley was on the far end on the ledge) He grabbed the prey but then wasn't sure what to do, so he flies down with the prey to the runway, where Haley is waiting for him. Mom eventually feeds.

Zephyr is still there, although he has learned a new trick. He can jump off the wall and go behind the nestbox . He's having a blast.. Maybe he'll wait for Haley to fledge with him.



Well I have housework to do and he should be taking a nap right now.

he flew to west side of CH .mohte on window ledges above Mayor LIccardo office . He is on west side of building near front door entrance entering Ch

he is perched on Bris , north side , on platform parallel to 11th floor of CH building. he is preening

I knew that he would fledge as soon as I took my eyes off him . So much for
'they usually fledge early in the morning or in the evening'. Well I'm so grateful that he is safe.

Haley.

he is perched in side the Rotunda(falcon catcher) He may have to spend night there.

he had an exciting afternoon but had to be rescued about 2:30. the crows have been pestering. He left the rotunda but after a series of low flights, , he landed on roof of apartment building, then he did not stick landing on roof of ramp of garage and came to ground. he was to be rescued by John . but he took off before he could be rescued and landed in a sycamore tree

crows chased him an d he landed on 4th street garage roof , or somewhere in area

I guess he hit a window upon landing and was stunned. He is rescued and placed in a quiet cooler room till Glenn arrives

after icing his bump on his head and feeding him quail , Glenn decided Zepher needed a few days of
R and R

Zepher will be fed and then returned to city hall sometime today. fingers crossed for him

he has been returned to roof . dad knows he is there

Thanks bev. I just read a beautiful eye-witness report on the forum regarding Clara seeing Zephyr on the roof.

Here it is:


Clara came from the nest area/runway to take flight over 5th street for some Peregrine Sailing :) Zephyr on the southwest corner of the roof, saw his Mother at the same time Clara U-turned over San Fernando toward CH & caught the glimpse of Zephyr !! Zephyr flapping his wings & vocalizing, She flew direct up to the southwest corner vocalizing back at him, flying up above, under & out around Zephyr over the roof, alighting on one of the taller antennas right near Zephyr & Fernando :) What a heartwarming, warm fuzzy & wonderful sight to experience !!

Now ... Time will come when Haley gets a clue that her brother has returned :)
