Bell

our young girl at Bell is healthy and big. Her band number is
red K over D they are both horizontal

E4 has been not at box much today but I am sure has been on ledge. I think sh eis making sure no one else gets to chick. It took her over an hour to stay at box yesterday. She was some mad.

Gord went up and banded her today . E4 was nto happy . will get number when I talk to Gord.. here is video of Gord taking chick and putting back. E4 was mighty upset . even after Gord left she continued kaking etc. for almost an hour. not sure what had her upset after, but all is well now.

when E4 was finally settled she really cuddled her chick. too big to get under her anymore but she did try. LOL NO matter what happens , this has been worth it for E4.

the male had another milestone today. He went into box with E4 there. E4 left and he stayed there about a minute. He may have been looking for food, but it is still a big step

The K and D are sideways . I do not know how you would do that.

she was a captive bred chick but i am not sure where Gord got her. I just know he looked for the oldest ne he couldto make this work at Bell, in case things did not go well. But I knew E4 would do it.

and the male is making strides

I love seeing the little fluffies at the Canadian sites. Getting the best of both worlds - the chicks and the juvies!

Sally, never worry, we don't mind anyone taking photos of our chicks and post them. I for one can't post photos and love to see them. I watch them live but there are times when I would love to have had a photo of scene. Thank you again.

I'd love to see a study of singletons vs multiples. The singletons seem to be a lot braver and learn to entertain themselves (taking chances?). I've looked online and couldn't find anything.

I knwo it is hard to see here. but i am trying to keep track of our KD. she is everywhere now which is scary , for when workers are there. fingers crossed . sh e is 31 days old tomorrow . If left alone , she will be ready to fledge on July long weekend. I so need a success here this year

she is starting to take food from E4 but E4 is tougher. :egglaugh":
