This week we were worried about the weather taking a toll on the nest and
never thought it would be a different situation taking over...

Dad just left with the fish. We really have to be concerned about Mom's whereabouts and condition right now ...

I am surprised the station has not moved the camview...
5:00 - 6:00 news (nest update) will not be easy.

I have to leave for a bit...will check back in as soon
as I can.

The station is aware, I just came from their FB site. I hope we can continue to observe to confirm Mom's return to the nest. Unfortunately, Beth you were right. Here is a report from poster on FB of what happened with Mom:

was watch aspray cam look like mom got attacked by some thing papa looks sad only one baby in nest that i can see hope i'm wrong. but the one looks like its not breathing either PRAYERS ALL IS WELL

When I started watching Swinwk - Mom was off and on the nest and appearing troubled / agitated.
The kids were crying @ that time and were exposed to the sun.

Sadly we have to report it appears the baby Osprey have died.
While we will never know what killed them, it appeared there was another Osprey hanging around the nest earlier this afternoon, spooking mom & dad, and the babies were left unattended for awhile.
We hope you enjoyed watching this Osprey family along with us & learning about the birds.

Sounds as if the cam will not be on the nest anymore this season, doesn't it? Hope they will let us know if there are any reports on Mom, we know Dad is okay ... :flirty:

Johnisaly, this is the hardest part to endure when watching these nests, we love them so ... Thank you so much for bringing this very special nest to BCAW! I will never forget them! :flirty:

Thanks for bringing that over Swinwk...

Lets hope Mom is ok-but since she in not banded we
will not have any idea if she comes back next year.
They can sometimes look at the necklace and
facial features but since this is a new/young couple
it would take a few years for a database (pics)
