Right now it looks like a lot of exploring going on. One on the patio, one in the boy cave, one laying on the wall, & I couldn't figure out where the 4th is. Well, chat said 30 minutes ago that 3 were on the wall, so I guess I just can't see the 4th one.

We're vacationing in Bar Harbor, ME so can't help out here with only my phone but there's about 8 watchers on ground keeping eyes on them. Weather report says bad storms coming through today..hope they stay safe!

We have our first fledge..Leo! He flew to a couple buildings then flew back to TS, landing in the well and climbed back up the ramp and into the nest box! :eggthumbup:

I have not had much chance to really watch this year, but I do check everyday on the babies and check the forum.

The babies are so beautiful.

Leo looks just like DC to me. And Aria really looks like Beauty to me, especially from the side. But they are ALL perfect.

I'm going to be offline for a few weeks, and can't wait to read about their adventures when I get back.

Love it when they go back home after they fledge so we can watch them & know they're safe! :loveshow:

Matilda fledged around 5:30 this AM and watchers reported Lilac fledged a short time ago. :eggthumbup:

Thanks, Kris! I saw on chat that everybody has fledged except Aria, & apparently they're doing well. No posts about rescues. :clap:

I think these are the girls because of the size similarity. They were beaking & then a parent flew past & they started calling--loudly! :teehee:

There are 3 there now. I see a blue band & a green one. I can't see the band of the one lying down.

I know..me too! Being on vacation, I'm getting snippets here and there of what's going on. I read that Leo, Matilda and Lilac have all had good flights so far and, right now, all are getting fed on the Wilder Bldg! :eggthumbup:

Wednesday Fledge Watch - Aria Gets Into a Bit of Trouble - 6/16/16

It was warmer today and we started out with some rain. The juvies were all up on top of the Wilder bldg in various spots most of the morning. There would be bursts of energy that would send them into the sky. If one started exercising their wings, one or more of the others would do the same.

Since his sisters have not quite caught up to him, Beauty and Dot.ca have become Leo’s favorite targets. His favorite activity is to knock them off buildings and chase them. What great fun! Just wait until his sisters are stronger flyers!

By the end of the afternoon, all 4 juvies were in the air. The watchers were spread out trying to keep track of them. I was watching one juvie that was not flying as well as the others. She came in low attempting to land on the Talesca bldg, but instead bumped into the wall. She recovered and headed back to the Times Square bldg where she landed on a windowsill.

We were able to ID her as Aria, our youngest and newest flyer. The watchers gathered to keep an eye on her and the others.

She did some sleeping, but also a lot of stretching and preening. Aria seems to be ok, just tired. The watchers left as it started to get dark, reporting that Aria had laid down and was sleeping.

We are all hoping that she’ll be rested by morning and that she’ll rejoin her family. Aria is in a very safe place and both Beauty and Dot.ca know where she is.

Today’s watchers were Dan, Larry, Zaph, Joyce, Kathy, Cheryl, Willie, Dana, Lou, Pat, Carla, Jeanne and me, Carol P.
