I know. I think Dad knew it shouldn't be there because he was picking at it earlier. I was hoping when she shuffled it would fall off.

I'm so worried about that egg. Looking back at the pics, I think that half shell was off on the side before Dad came in to see his baby for the 1st time. He did a lot of shuffling and pebble picking. The half shell vanished in that activity and is then seen stuck to an egg. I think it's the egg that had the hole. Dutch Eagle Fan saw movement and I think I also did. If the half shell was wet, it may have really stuck to the egg. If it covered the hole, I don't know if the chick would get enough air. I don't see pips or holes in any of the other eggs. There has been so much tragedy here with the loss of Mom and her eggs. I would hate to think that we could lose one of Cady's chicks to something as crazy as this. With 4 eggs, what are the chances that this particular egg would be affected. Sigh.

Is there a new link to JC cam? I am getting a four hour loop when I open the cam.

It works for me when I open it, just on a four hour loop..doesn't say live on both cams. :(

Just watched Mom try to turn the cracked egg (gently?) with her talons; it does look cracked all the way around. The new chick is totally under her, with the eggs in front. She also did a schmoosh down (gently?) on the eggs. Fingers crossed. Talons crossed. Everything crossed.
