She is just cute as a bug, & by her coloring I'd say she's quite young! :easterbask:

Some information I got via a friend from Esslingen:
The falcons on St. Dionys-church in Esslingen are breeding on 5 eggs, which is very rare in Europe !
They started with the first egg very early on february, 25th, it was noted here in this forum.
Then a new tiercel appeared -banded golden/golden( i.e. from a nestbox/building, sorry crazy German banding ritus!), the resident pair is not banded!
The female stopped keeping the two eggs warm - you remember we had freezing temperatures in Southern Germany until march, 15th - and started courting with the new tiercel.
We know that, don´t we?
The old tiercel - not banded - was not seen since then in the nestbox. Supposed to b driven off by the new one or even killed? At the same time when the female was breeding in the nestbox two Peregrine falcons (males?) were seen "mobbing" - flying in team - a buzzard (Buteo buteo) near the church... Trio? Polyandrie, tolerant father & son or vice versa?
Then the female laid three more eggs and the new tiercel - banded golden (bred in a building) - is seen in the nestbox. Now they breed on five eggs! I think, the first two eggs will not fledge because they went too cold at the end of february - like Karlsruhe- . :-(

Mulheim--she has scooted her eggs back to where we can maybe get a count if she's off them when the cam refreshes!

I have been watching this nest most of the day trying to get a picture of both and this is all I've got to show for it. Feet in the doorway.

Hey kittenface, I just now looked back over previous posts and noticed that picture you got of those 4 eggs against the gravel. Really nice shot, perfect lighting.

And yes feet is better than nothing. I haven't caught them together yet, and the camera is not always working.

I agree! Very dramatic. I stared at it quite awhile.
