:girlsad3: At 7:11:36 a fiasco is revealed! Mrs. BB had been doing a blocked feed, when she moves toward the left a stick laying across the nest bowl has one of the chicks pinned across it's neck. Mom is standing on that stick and she leans over to the other chick bearing more weight on the chick under the stick ( maybe to give the other chick a bite ... I don't know as I was focused on the pinned chick) and when she steps off the stick he is immediately released and he looks okay, but then Mom steps on his head as she goes to drape herself across the nestbowl and the stick is under his wing now. Mom lays down with the stick still under his wing and tries to remove the stick, but can't pull it out, d/t her weight. Eventually Mom realizes she needs to get up and remove the stick which she places to the side and out of the way. We better keep an eye on him today to make sure he is okay. I just came in from work and will be sleeping most of day, but will check when I can. Gee whiz!!

From a little bit ago. BBB1 and BBB2 were up and beak bonking so I think they are okay. Now Mrs. BB is brooding again. :15heartbeat:

At the Fraser Point nest, with Cruz (A-49) there are now three eggs: #1 on 09, #2 on 12 and #3 on 15 February.

:1snowmancarrot: Thanks, gigi! On the DVR, I caught a feed @ 1337 and all appears well. I honestly believe from Mom's reaction and occasional movement of white ... the chicks were in a tiff before she got off of them! :teehee:

:taz: Navy blue cord of some sort in the nest @ BB! When I came in on the DVR @ 7:57, it looked to be on or around the fish. Mrs. BB got it off the fish and tried to toss it to the side, but it's entangled and caught her talon. Will check chat to see what they are saying.

0757, 0811, 0817! Sorry, I had to write times down, before I forgot. 0757: Mr. BB arrives with live fish with cord attached. 0811: Mrs. BB gets up to feed and removes cord wrapped around fish, but actually it is still anchored through the mouth/gill of the fish.(???) 0817: Mrs. BB decides to go back to the nestbowl and attempts to unwind the cord, but eventually she drags part of it back to just within the bowl. At one point when she moves or jerks, you can see fish head dragged upward. Really hate to see this. :egg15:
