I hadn't seen that chick go out the back door. All are back in the scrape now. Niecey is catnapping on the shield and Little Dad doing the same on the point. Looks like it's getting ready to rain here.

Little cooler this morning. Everyone huddled together. Bad storms due this afternoon, sometime after 2 or 3 til 9 this evening.

I've been out all day, and just now checking the cams. There was a feeding that ended about five minutes ago. One chick is on the ledge in front of the scrape, and the other three are in the scrape. Can see Little Dad's tail sticking out from the camera perch. There are storms in the area. Big flash of lightning here a bit ago, and a lot of thunder rumbling in the distance.

3 kids out of the scrape. One wonder back and forth out of camera range. After banding Monday I hope they change the camera views since they have started wondering. When I first tuned in there were only 3 in sight. Then here comes the missing one around the back of the scrape. Must have been hiding back there.

I saw that one chick go out the back door, and it made its way over to near the water puddle. The little one had some trouble getting back in the scrape, but so did one of the larger chicks. Another chick also went out near the water puddle, but finally returned to the scrape also. Pretty sure that the one that wandered a bit further down the ledge could see itself in the window.

I hadn't seen a feeding all morning until about 15 or 20 minutes ago. Niecey came in with some food and started feeding the chicks. Very shortly after that, Little Dad arrived with more food. He fed one chick while Niecey fed three. He eventually left, and Niecey continued feeding until the food was all eaten. A few moments ago Little Dad came into the scrape to make sure there were no leftovers. He was almost chased off by one of the chicks, which certainly looks like a female. I think there are two females and two males, although maybe three females. I'm usually wrong, though.

First 2 pics are earlier, chicks keeping busy flapping, picking at/playing with scraps, and staring at puddles. It's so sweet when the babies check out their wing and are top heavy, often falling over.

I guess prey is hard to come by with a lot of rain. But definitely cooler.

Niecey just brought in prey, they rushed her as she entered the nest, and it was not enough.

Weather here today has been really lousy. Rained most of the day with somewhat of a break this afternoon. I'm sure it's tough for Little Dad to be hunting. Tomorrow is to be mostly dry, but the rest of the week sounds very wet.
