Here is an excerpt from Kate's Blog from late this afternoon describing Hope's actions at one point after 1st hatch:

"Hope carries the chick away from the scrape at 9:38:45. She does not harm it. She carries it back to the nest. (This was the only dangerous moment.)"

The following explains what happened at hatch from 9:32 - 9:42 AM today. I thought this update was well done and fills in the blanks that we missed d/t difficulties with streaming at that time. Here is the update from Kate's blog with slideshow from 4:30 PM:

Hey you all, please note update from Kate's Blog that I posted above bev's pic as I believe it fills in a lot of blanks from today's hatch that were not seen d/t streaming issues at that time.

6.15 Lots of turning and scrunching as she helps her other babies hatch
6.45 am She got up, chupping and I saw AT LEAST 2 fluffy white chicks

Streaming seems to be holding up here so far this morning. Got to see a whole, white, fluffy, chick earlier this morning ... finally!! Also, saw her talking to Terzo earlier and I was hoping he would come in, but he didn't.

When she left, I saw 2 chick heads!! :spring1:

And there is a blocked feed going on right now for the two!!

i have 2 monitors but I keep on e with cams on it and one for typing

So they saw a third egg pipped this morning. This is the current update under cam:

Latest News!
A second egg hatched during the night and two chicks were seen well at 7:45am on April 23; a third egg was seen to be pipped, so a third chick may appear before the end of the day. The first egg hatched at 10:00 in the morning on Earth Day, April 22, 2019. The other eggs will hatch over the next 24-36 hours.

I went in at just the right time as parent was leaving and got to see 2 squirming chicks amongst the eggs!!
