:buzzybee: Found this published report by Michelle Starr from "ScienceAlert" on yellow-legged gull eggs possibly communicating "predation info" with each other prior to hatching, from a link on one of the osprey sites I follow and wanted to share with you:

A potential new home for falcons
MARQUETTE, MICH (WJMN) — If you see a strange box on the top of the Landmark Inn they aren’t adding new rooms unless you count falcons as future guests.

Beloved Manayunk peregrine falcon dies; questions raised over cause of death
43/ac or 45/ac B/G

His name is Manny, a 10-year-old peregrine falcon.
Last week, Judy got word that Manny suffered a severe injury and had died.

He was taken to a nearby wildlife center after being found in a yard.

"The leg had been severed above the foot," she said.

Her belief is that drone may have come too close.

Now that the Australian nests we know of have hatched their eggs I thought it was time to do a recap of this year.
We monitored 244 nests. In total there were 783 eggs laid and 606 chicks hatched.
For 156 nests we knew the date for the first egg and the first hatch as well. That gives an average between those two dates of 39,48 days.
There were 19 nests with 5 eggs this year, 5 more then in 2018.
