Still 5, thank goodness.

They are such good babies. So well behaved. :1snowflake2:
It must be because of their parents.

That is a rare event, indeed. I've been watching them for six years, and have never seen Trinity feed them. He did pretty well, and Red Girl semed to take it in stride.

Loved seeing Trinity doing a feeding. I also have never seen him do that before, but he's certainly watched Red Girl do so often enough. He did a great job!

He is so sweet. I was scrolling back though to watch the feedings, and I was like, what was that? As somebody else said, he sure has watched enough. Red Girl is a strong female though, might be a little intimidating.

Thanks for the great videos, Terka. I actually think that was Trinity doing the feeding in both of them. A few minutes ago he hopped into the nest box. He didn't have any food, but all five were pecking at his beak. And as soon as he landed in the box, they all sat up from their nap. They obviously have sight now.

He's got the bug! He decided he liked feeding the kids, so much so that he carried the food he brought in with him back out! That is Rochester's DC game, "if you're not going to let me feed them, I'll take the food away!" :teehee:

Thanks for the pictures, Nancy. Those chicks are really growing. Such great parents! And it just hit me. My avatar I use on here is Red Girl's mother!

She's a good mother like her mom. If I'm not mistaken, Red Girl is the same age her mother was when we lost her.
