Niecey was on the point defeathering something about 20 minutes ago. She took whatever it was over to the scrape and fed the three chicks. All were satisfied. SO nice to see some sunshine here today, although it's still rather cool.

Saw her come in with food, but got distracted, but I did catch them all standing together eating.

They are so cute. Wish she'd go ahead and move that egg.

Weather here today is big time LOUSY. Wind and rain, but not cold. I have not seen a feeding this morning, but that doesn't mean there hasn't been one. Not seeing Lil Dad on the camera perch. Tough day for him to be hunting.

Still haven't seen a feeding OR Little Dad. If anyone watching sees either, please post. This horrible rain is to move out of our area around 5 or 6 this evening.

Still raining hard here, but the wind has died down. I don't know if there have been any feedings, but Little Dad is on his camera perch.

Happy to say that there was just a good feeding. All three chicks were fed. Niecey looks like a drowned rat. Still raining hard here but much less wind.

Chicks had been alone for a while. Then Little Dad was on the point. He took off toward the scrape, and next thing Niecey came in with a BIG meal. Not sure where it came from. She couldn't feed the chicks fast enough. Little Dad returned to the point watching the feeding, but then he flew off. Niecey is settling in on the chicks for the night. Rain seems to be over.

So I saw Niecey on the shield yelling for Lil' Dad to bring food. Lil' Dad was not there at the time. She finally left and when I checked in a few minutes later, she was feeding the chicks. I wondered if she got it herself, but realized then that Lil'Dad was on the point, so I assume he got it.

They got enough to eat, even the young one.

Not sure of the times of all of this. Around 7:45 Niecey was near the point, and Little Dad was in the scrape and feeding the chicks for a few minutes. He didn't have much to feed them. Niecey came into the scrape, and of course Little Dad left. He was on the point for a while, and Niecey was gone, later to return to the point. Little Dad went into the scrape until well after 8, and Niecey was on the point watching the Crows flying around. Pretty sure she went after one, but returned with nothing. Little Dad was in the scrape long after the Infrared light came on, and Niecey was still on the point. Little Dad left the scrape somewhere around 8:20, and Niecey returned to the chicks shortly afterwards.

Something I've never seen before. Little Dad is on the lower cam, and Niecey is above him on the higher one. I wish I knew how to grab and post a picture.

Jane, that would have been something to see. You can call me when a particular scene catches your eye. Heaven knows, I'm at home.

These are definitely not in order. I take so many picutures, then when I go to paint to retrieve them, it's overwhelming. So I skip around and pick favorites. So, for the longest time the chicks were alone, then Niecey returned and was on the shield, then Lil' dad came in with prey. She took it and defeathered it on the point. Babies were fed and I thought pretty well, but just a few minutes afterwards, Lil'Dad comes to the ledge behind the nestbox with more prey, She took it and fed them again.

:loveheart:

After a feeding about an hour ago, Niecey left, and Little Dad came into the scrape and spent a LONG time snuggling with his chicks. Niecey arrived back on the point, but she didn't chase him. I think she was still looking for the Crows, but I didn't see them tonight. I was horrified to see a bird flying at Niecey. Well, it was Little Dad, and there was a quick canoodle on the point!
