I have made many films to confirm the presence of the chick
but I have nothing to show, for confirmation.
Female is spinning but nothing comes of it

Any evidence of a feed? I have had the cam up since about 8:30 eastern time...and there has been no food brought in. Mom has done a lot of scrunching and moving and picking...but, unless there is a feed, there probably isn't a chick...unless they are both clueless as to what to do. I guess that's possible.

The box has been unattended for the past 30 min. A parent has just returned. I was away and could have missed something during that time. Unfortunately, I didn't have the recorder on the nest because I was recording elsewhere.

So confusing...

Prior to leaving, she was tracking him or something in the sky..

Image

He lands almost immediately

Image

Goes to the box...finds nobody home

Image

...and leaves..

Nobody there now.

I would like to think they just got their signals crossed and he was bringing her a snack vs there being a starving chick in the box.

That may've been what happened a week ago.
He brot prey to her for her
She left without it
he followed her
came back later without prey

I see no sign of a hatch

I wonder if we could be off on the egg thing.
I have been watching now for a couple hours and whoever it is in the box is doing
the picking at the pebble thing, and turning & scooching.
