Chick at the back door has moved to the front and Niecey to the shield, then to the shade on the shield.

Crimes, one of the chicks is down at the orange post! We are having our first taste of heat here - it's 82 degrees.

Watched a feeding about half an hour ago. When Niecey left, I noticed a vibration. Flipped over to the ledge cam, and there was Niecey sitting on top. All three chicks are now down at the orange post.

So Lil' Dad was sitting on the stick , one chick in front of the nest, one at the back door and one behind the box. The chick in front, was screaming her head off, so Lil' Dad runs to it, like he was trying to comfort it. The one behind the box must have realized something was going on, because he suddenly pops out and the expression, was like, am I missing something??

They are super cute.

Jane I saw two at the orange post yesterday but just had a look at the cam for a minute so didn't get a pic.

edit to add pics

They appear to be waiting for a food delivery.

They were also running jumping flapping, etc. clumsily. At one point the big one toward the back saw a feather being blown toward the ledge edge. It got caught there and I thought to myself, surely that chick won't go after it. Well it did, but thankfully, it blew off, so forward motion stopped.

:ohboy:

I did see Lil Dad feeding a few scraps to one of the chicks this morning. All sacked out right now. I'm kind of thinking there are two males and one female, little one being a male. I look at the size of their feet to try to make my educated (?) guess.

Tuned in to find the chicks down at the orange post. Two are now admiring themselves in the window. If anyone reading this lives near Wilmington or you KNOW of someone near Wilmington, they could really use some help with fledge watch down there. There was one accidental fledge yesterday afternoon, and one sort of accidental. At the moment they don't know where one of the females got to.

Looks like Niecey's trio will be spending the night out in front of the scrape. As of 9:10 I don't see Niecey there with them.

Just saw a feeding over near the column. These three like to hang out behind the scrape, and are not always in view.

I am unable to access any of the cams. They were working about an hour ago.

Looks like Niecey's trio is going to spend the night in the scrape for a change. One of those chicks is really getting feathered out. I suspect it's a male and likely the first to hatch.

Really blah weather here today. It started raining around 9, and has been raining most of the day. Two chicks at the window now and one in the scrape; Lil Dad had been up on the camera perch a while ago, but don't see him now. I did see one feeding this morning before the rain started. We are going to be starting our watches next Friday, or maybe even Thursday. One of those three is really getting feathered out.
