:1val: Ma did not spend the night. At 1:55 this afternoon, Pa arrived to the nest and stood. Ma landed at 2:02 and Pa immediately got busy aerating through the grass in the bowl. Ma picked and aerated the grass at the rear of the nest for a short bit, then stood. Pa moved out 2 pine cones connected to a stem and aerated the bottom of the bowl. Next he did a little rail work. At 2:15, Pa moved to the rear of the nest near Ma for a minute, then went toward the right rails. Then he went to the rear rails at 2:17 and flew out for the day a minute later. Ma continued to stand. At 2:53, Ma moves to the bowl to crouch initially and then she is lying in it eventually. She stood at 3:26 and back down at 3:43. Ma stood at 4:05 and after looking around she flew from the bowl out the rear at 4:07 for the day. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:52 am.

:1val: Ma did not spend the night. At 6:35 this morning she arrived to the nest and down into the bowl and settled a couple minutes later. Pa in at 6:43 to stand and up to the left branch at 6:45 out of sight, then flew several seconds later. Ma stood at 10:54 and back down at 10:59. At 11:25 she stood again and back down a minute later. Ma stood at 12:34 and eventually she backed up to the left rails for a PS. Then she went to the rear nest to look around out back and preen a little. Ma turned around at 1:14 to look around. Pa arrived at 1:18 landing next to Ma. He too is just looking around. Pa flew from the rear at 1:31. Ma back to the bowl at 1:33 to lie down. At 2:59 Ma stood. At 3:09 she aerated the bowl and back down at 3:10. Ma stood at 5:09 to look around and preen and back down at 5:12. She stood again at 6:23 and back down at 6:47 where she has been the rest of the evening. Later in the evening she went to sleep sometimes resting her head on the floor of the nest. Ma continues to sleep as I leave at 12:16 am.

:1val: Ma spent the night last night. At 6:14 this morning Pa arrived to the left branch and then down to the nest. Ma is perched on the rear. Pa gets busy aerating the bowl and moving things out. Then he preened. Ma flew out the rear at 6:18 startling Pa (as he had his head buried preening behind his left wing) so much so that he jumped out of the bowl and onto the nest!! :teehee: Then he stood till 6:31 when he started wrestling one of the sticks on the front rail. He flew up to the right branch and out of sight at 6:33. At 9:41 Ma returned to the nest and stood panting. Then at 9:54 she went to the bowl to lie. Ma up abruptly at 11:01 and swirls around d/t an unseen intruder flying over. She alerted quietly, then called out a couple of times. Then she is vigilant keeping an eye on things. She settled back in the bowl at 11:04. She stood at 12:22 and looked around, then back down a minute later. She stood again at 1:22, then backed up to the left rails at 1:25 for a PS. She stood looking around. At 2:09, Ma went back to the bowl to lie. At 3:52 Ma stood looking around. At 3:57 she went to the rear and looked around flying out a minute later for the day. The nest remains empty as I leave at 1:25 am.

:1val: Ma did not spend the night on the nest. Pa arrived to the left branch at 12:15 this afternoon and then down to the bowl to aerate. Ma arrived at 12:17. Pa moved debris out of the bowl and continued to aerate. By 12:20 Ma wants in the bowl and although Pa has stepped out of it, he continues to block her way. By 12:21 she is able to get in it and Pa is up further on the nest. Pa to the left branch at 12:22 and flew seconds later. He returned at 12:28 with a stick to place. Afterwards he was standing on Ma's tail feathers and she was able to get free and stood. He walked past her and she pecked him on the face. :teehee: He went to move sticks on the rails. Ma settled back in the bowl. Pa stood for awhile and then to the left branch at 12:40 and flew a minute later. Ma stood at 4:13. She turned around and flew at 4:15 out the rear. Ma returned at 5:16 to the edge of the bowl and down in it seconds later. She is lying in it by 5:18. She watched an eagle fly around the nest at 5:27 without alerting. Then Pa arrived to the nest with a stick in the same minute dragging part of it across Ma. He placed it to the right rail and then turned around and walked in front of Ma and she bit him on his wing. :teehee: Then when he turned to rearrange a stick on the right rails she reached over and bit his tail feathers on the right side. :teehee: As he continued to move around with his work she reached over and bit the left side of his tail feathers. :teehee: Surprisingly, he went and stood beside her! Next he went to the rear rails and flew at 5:34 for the night. At 6:34, Ma stood. She preened at 6:43. Ma back down over the bowl at 7:01 and she did a little aeration. At 9:24, Ma stood. At 9:40 she started backing up toward the rear of the nest and stood. She has slept at intervals with her head downward. She remains in this position preening as I leave at 1:21 am.

:1val: Ma spent the night. She flew at 6:31 this morning for the day. Even though I checked the DVR, I managed to miss Pa's visit. He arrived at 6:12 this evening with a stick to place, but didn't stay long per chat. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:32 am.

:1val: Ma did not spend the night. Pa in at 6:32 this morning and to the bowl to work, then the right rails and he flew right away. Ma arrived at 8:57 with a small fish to eat. She gulped down the last of it at 9:02 and then shortly she went to lie in the bowl. Pa arrived at 9:57 and he flew at 9:59. Ma stood at 12:24 after a little difficulty getting up and back down a couple minutes later. Up again at 1:24 and back down 3 minutes later. Ma got up again at 3:53 to change position and back down. Up again at 4:57 to change positions and back down a couple minutes later. Ma stood at 5:10 and moved up onto the nest floor. Back in the bowl to lie at 6:18. Ma stood at 7:55 for a little preening and back down in the bowl a couple minutes later. Ma stood at 8:48, then to the left branch at 8:50 and flew seconds later for the night. Pa arrived at 8:54 and moved several small sticks from the nest floor to the rails, aerated the bowl, then stood. He went to the left branch at 9:02, but decided to go back down to the nest a minute later and back up to the left branch in the same minute out of sight except the tip of his left wing. He flew at 9:04 for the night. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:40 am.

:1val: Ma did not spend the night. She arrived to the nest at 1:24 this afternoon and to the bowl a minute later. She reached over and moved a stick from the right rail to the front rail. Then she continues to stand. It's a very windy day. At 2:02 she decided to lie in the bowl. She stood at 3:31. She moved a small stick from the floor of the nest to the front rail, then took a step back and feaked through the grass even though she has not eaten. Maybe to mash the growing grass down that is taking over the nest. Then she simply stood and looked around. Back down in the bowl at 3:55 with a little aeration. At 5:03, Ma stood and flew from the nest a minute later. She returned to the rear of the nest at 5:32 panting and hopped to the bowl 3 minutes later. A little aeration and down she goes. She has remained here the rest of the evening. I'm sure she is spending the night as the last I saw here at 10:07 she was still in the bowl. Unfortunately, all cams went down at this time. Berry had warned us the cams would go down 2 weeks ago for maintenance (they did not) and I assume that is why they are down now, although odd timing.

:1val: Cam came on at 1:25 this afternoon showing a very grassy nest. At 3:58 Ma arrived straight to the bowl and settled in. It became very windy at the nest and in time the rains came. And at 4:49 while Ma continued to lie in the bowl ... the cam went down again ...

:1val: Ma did not spend the night. At 6:11 this evening Ma arrived to the nest followed by Pa seconds later. Pa got busy in the bowl moving sticks out. Ma moved to the rear of the nest to stay out of his way. Pa aerated, then moved over to the rails to do a little work. Both stood for awhile, then Pa did more rail work. Pa to the left branch at 7:00 and faced Ma, then he turned around and flew seconds later. Ma to the bowl at 7:01 and settles. She stood at 9:05 and back down at 9:08 and aerates the bowl, settles, then brings fluff toward her chest and eventually she sleeps. Ma continues to sleep as I leave at 12:07 am.

:1val: Well, Ma spent at least part of the night on the nest and the cams are down again. After I left at 12:07 am last night, per chat Ma stood at 12:57 am and did a PS over the front rail, then a long preening session began at 1:00, rain began at 2:10, then rain became harder and Ma to the left branch at 2:12 and flew seconds later, cam went down at 2:23 am. :imbored:
