:flirty: Two chicks and 2 eggs huddled together and feed in progress. Saw one appear to be about to get a bite. One just went down. Must have come in at the very end and she is now brooding and incubating.

When we think they are so helpless, then they go and roam around like they have a hoverboard! :teehee:

:flirty: Feed just finished up. Pip in 3rd egg or part of meal on it. Mom covers all.

:egg16: What's up with the lights out at night here over the last couple days or so? I used to be able to see them during the night. Can still see at night at Petersburg.

I have been gone most of the day, but I''ll see what happens tonight. They had some "technical" problems but I thought they were resolved. I, too, noticed that the cam's night vision wasn't working. I'll let you know!

:1val: It's not froze now, T. And thanks, gigi. Feed in progress. Still 2 chicks and 2 intact eggs of what I could see as one of the eggs was partially covered by a chick.

Thanks! I missed the feeding but it appears that the camera's night vision is not working. I will let DNR and AES know!

I sent an email to DNR about no night vision. Daytime is crystal clear! :sum9:

Camera issue has been referred to AES IT. Hopefully and easy fix!

:1val: Thanks, gigi! Just saw 1 egg and a partial view of 1 chick. Beginning to wonder if there will just be the 2 chicks here. Not seeing any new eggshell.

:15heartbeat: Right now, she is brooding the 2 chicks and the 2 eggs are to the side of her. Still dark at night, so afraid it will be a more difficult fix for them.

I wonder if when DNR bands they can take a look at the actual cam. If it were an IT problem, I think they would have taken care of it by now.

:1val: Hope it is fixable. Guess it is not as needed now that we are no longer looking for eggs or hatches. Will be glad when the chicks are moving about more as I rarely only catch a partial glimpse of one, always under Mom.

:clapegg: OMG! I went back in and Mom is gone and there the 2 chicks are! No feed, Dad came in and it looked as if he poked one of them. The chicks eventually stood. Next screen it looked as if Mom was back down in the nest with them and Dad on the porch, then she left again and Dad stayed. Now Dad gone and Mom has them covered. Sometimes I am not sure about my ID's here. Oh well, I finally got to see the chicks!
