Another day with lots of visits! Pa provided fish and a mammal. Mom and Pa are also bringing in sticks for the rails and aerating. B15 ate and rested for an extended period two different times on the nest today. There were also flybys and check ins. He left for the night though as is his custom.

A big day at the nest with multiple visits throughout the day. Mom started the ball rolling with a short early morning visit and later B15 showed up. No food brought in today, but Pa and Mom brought sticks and Mom brought fluff to fill in a hole she aerated and made yesterday. They both worked on nestorations today. Even B15 brought in greenery and left it on the nest floor and later made a rough landing on the front rails as he clutched 2 pine cones in his right talons, he then went to the nest and left them on the floor. He flew plenty and rested plenty. As I said, all were there off and on throughout the day. B15 did stop by before dark and when he saw a parent fly through the back woods and land in a tree, he decided to fly out and head that way for the night.

Thankful someone showed up today! There were no eagle visits until 7:35 pm when B15 flew in. He was panting. He looked all around, even upwards. He went to the left branch at 7:40 pm still looking up and around. Then down to the base of the left branch at 7:48 where he seemed to lean over and pick from the rails, possibly looking for tidbits to eat. Down to the nest at 7:50 where he picked up a pine cone and dropped it, then picked at some fluff, then laid down. He's still panting, so maybe he is hot. He went to the left rear, curve of the rails at 7:56 and preened and looked around, then to the left branch in the same minute. He turned around at 7:57 and jumped down to the curve again, looked around and flew out to the left, then rear.

At 8:01, B15 to a rear right, tree behind the nest tree (can tell its him because shortly he comes into view when moving again), then Pa arrived landing in the middle of the nest and then an adult eagle probably Mom flew by the left of the nest very swiftly from the rear, then B15 moved to another branch or one of the right rear trees behind the nest tree, all in the same minute. B15 flew out at 8:02.

Pa aerated at 8:03 and then looked at the floor. To the left side of nest at 8:05 and then the left branch at 8:06 and flew seconds later. By them all showing up at the same time after not being seen on cam all day, I have to wonder if they spent their day away from the area, but together...

B15 arrived late morning with a crash landing to the nest. He stayed about 1 hot minute before flying out. This was the only eagle visit seen on the cams today. However, there was a ground report this afternoon of seeing B15, Mom and Pa flying high in the sky on the thermals for over 1 hour above the nest area!!

Many visits from B15 today, although some lasting only a couple minutes or less. It started after 7 this morning when he followed Mom in screaming his lungs out! But, all she had was a fluff delivery. Late in the morning she did bring a fish he enjoyed. He had some longer visits too and stopped in around 4 and 8 this evening. Pa wasn't here today that I am aware of.

There was a lot of visiting time with B15 today (4/25/22). He was on the nest several times and even rested there today. He brought in another pine cone for the nest and ate fish there.

There were multiple visits throughout the day from B15. He had plenty of fish thanks to his parents. They also visited the nest, but not as many visits as B12 had. He continues to sleep away from the nest tree for the overnight.

Another big day for B15. Some flying, some fish, got to be with both parents and lots of rest. He was on the nest or nest tree for hours today! When Mom came in at 1 point, Pa was feeding B15 fish and she came off the left branch to the back of the nest where they were and B15 puffed up some and started to snip on her, but Pa mantled the fish and tried to snip Mom 2-3 times. He gave B15 a bite, then he came up with another bite and reached toward her and she decided she would be able to take the whole fish now as it looked like he was offering to feed her, but I'm not sure that was his intention and she did take the fish from Pa and ate it. The parents both left earlier at different times and B15 left for the day at a little after 7 tonight.

B15 spent a lot of time here again today. We also got to see Pa and Mom. She delivered a large fish this eve. B15 mantled it, maybe got a few bites. Pa came in and B15 mantled more . Pa left. Mom got in place and gave him some bites, then she ate it and left. B15 was the last one out and it looked to be getting dark when he flew.

Although I didn't get to see him, B15 started out early here this morning and was here throughout the day.

B15 made several trips to the nest today and spent a lot of time on it. Both parents were in and Pa brought B15 a squirrel. He eventually got it opened by himself and ate on it at least a couple times. The 1st time for a long while. When Mom came in she wanted it and in the long run, she got it and gave B15 a few bites then ate herself.

B15 started his day here with a short visit, later Mom came in with a fish that she started eating on. Later B15 showed up and took her fish, then Pa showed up with a fish. B15 ended up mantling both of them. He finally concentrated on the fish Mom had previous. So Mom took the fish Pa had brought in, then Pa started eating something on the left nest and I think it could be the squirrel remains. Counting about an hour and half time up on a branch, b15 was here around 8 or more hours today.

B15 is still coming to the nest frequently. He made several visits today. Some were brief though. Pa and Mom stopped by too. B15's last visit of the day was after 7 pm tonight. He continues to spend the night off the nest tree.

B15 showed up early again this morning and made several trips to the nest today. Also, spent a considerable amount of time on it. Both Pa and Mom stopped by and of course B15 ate on the nest today.

B15 got a later start this morning, but still visited the nest several times. Dad brought in a fish for him and scooted out pretty quick. I think Mom may have brought a fish in, but eventually ate most of it, although I did see B15 getting scraps from it later. B15 stopped by after 8 tonight too as did 1 of the parents, but I forgot who.

B15 was in and out today and spent some time here. Dad came in with a fish and B15 took it and ate earlier today. B15 came in a couple times after 8 tonight and possibly Dad the last time, but B15 scared him off. B15 continues to sleep on a tree elsewhere overnight.

Chat reported all 3 were there on Friday. And so far today, all 3 have made appearances. B15 even brought a stick to the nest very early this morning.

He has made several visits. One he almost broke his neck trying to get to the nest after his Mom arrived. He zipped this way and that way by the nest and always landing at the wrong place or flying right on past till finally he made it to the nest only to find she didn't have any food.

Later Dad in with a small fish or a piece of and B15 finally makes it in to grab and eat after Dad had mantled and nipped at Mom after she flew in, because she was wanting to take for herself, but Pa was holding it for B15's arrival!

Edit to add: Later today B15 did rest on the nest for a little more than an hour.

I love how stick gathering seems to be instinct! How adorable. :biggrin:

B15 was here early this morning. Food delivery once per Pa and once per Mom. He pretty well spent the afternoon on the nest or the nest tree. Late this afternoon he couldn't be seen on the nest cam after we saw him up close, because he ended up walking out a branch and high up in the tree where he could only be seen by the AC. He spent a long time up there before he walked back down and eventually to the left branch and then he flew out.

Not near as much activity today as recent. But B15 did stop by 1st thing this morning and later on he stopped by calling and calling for a parent, but nobody came and he flew off. Shortly he could be heard squealing as he does in the background. Then there were some flybys noted on the AC of him and a parent. In the 6 o'clock hour, Pa did stop by the nest for awhile.
