The Berkeley babes are getting so big. Maybe one female and one male, I know they are 2 days apart in age. Annie is calling for supper. I saw on FB a few days ago, Alden is still bringing food through the night. I loved watching him do that. Saw they said he has fed them now too.

After I posted, I went out and noticed Alden is at the end of the ledge. She's still wailing, he may let her wail awhile...

Vote results are in for the naming of the Berkeley chicks. (Never what I vote for...)

After 5,350 votes, we have our winners!
The male chick (blue band) will be named "Grinnell Jr." in honor of Grinnell, the falcon who, with Annie, established this territory in 2017 and passed away this year.
The female chick (yellow band) will be named "Lindsay" in honor of Lindsay Wildlife Experience, the rehab organization that cared for Grinnell when he was injured last fall.
The vote was very tight between Lindsay and Hope, but Lindsay held on at the very end!

As we wait for our chicks to make their first flights, we have some exciting pictures of Lawrencium’s 2022 brood (Annie and Grinnell’s grand-chicks). They had two chicks this year on Alcatraz and biologists report the family is doing great!
