Both in and out for nest exchanges today. Pa did bring in a fluff delivery that he deposited on Mom's tail. A quiet night that I have seen so far for Mom who is on egg duty.

This evening Mom brought in a hunk of prey in her right talons that you usually do not see her doing. Pa waited and eventually tried to get a bite, but she was not having it. Eventually he flew up to the left branch and flew out for the night. Nest exchanges were the norm throughout the day and Mom is currently on egg duty.

This morning Pa got up during egg duty and ate the remains of the prey Mom brought yesterday that she would not share. A lot of rain today. The last time Pa appeared today he brought a fluff delivery, but Mom would not get up for a nest exchange and he left. Mom continues to incubate tonight in what will be a long shift for her.

Pa brought in a headless fish this morning but even though Mom seemed excited to see him come in with it she did not get up right away and when she did get up, she flew out. Finally, early this evening she decided to eat it and when Pa got up and came over for a bite she defended it. Pa also brought in a fluff delivery today and Mom brought a stick to the nest. Mom is currently on egg duty.

Mom brought a stick in for the nest today and Pa made a fluff delivery. Incubation continues with nest exchanges throughout the day and Mom on egg duty for the overnights. We are about 2 weeks from pip watch.

At 12:23 am today (really on 3/13) Mom woke all of a sudden and wing slapped, then was vocal and more wing slaps. Pa responded vocally in the distance. She soon settled but remained alert. It was not seen on cam what she was slapping at. Then a few minutes later some weaker vocals from her and Pa responded with vocals in the distance again. She continued to be alert and then at 12:38 am Pa could be heard landing on the left rear, branch most likely. The AC remains down and what branch he landed on could not be confirmed. But his vocals made it obvious he was on the nest tree now. Vocals continued at intervals between the two the remainder of the night. Pa never showed on cam 2 but he was there to guard the nest and Mom. Finally, at 7:26 am Pa came down onto the nest and Mom flew out for her break. Nest exchanges continued throughout the day, then cam 2 went down sometime around 5 pm this evening. BCE was notified and surprisingly both cam 2 and the AC were restored a little past 6 pm. Pa had been on egg duty before the cam went down and he was there when it came back up. There was one more nest exchange before 7 pm and Mom remains on egg duty at this time.

Nest exchanges as usual today. Pa's last time on the eggs was a long one lasting from early afternoon till almost dark before Mom returned. Then tonight a little after midnight there were some noises Mom was dealing with and who should land on the tree ... Pa! Shortly he came onto the nest and Mom went to the left branch and Pa incubated the eggs till Mom stepped back down onto the nest at 3:26 am. At 3:27 am Pa went up to the right branch most likely and seconds later it sounded as if he flew. Mom settled on the eggs at 3:28 am and remains on egg duty at this time. Some of my observations are from sound as the AC went off air again during the day and the cam 2 view is very limited.

I'm thinking when Pa flew in the middle of the night last night, he did not leave but rather flew to a different limb on the nest tree. This morning, I could hear him stirring around on a branch a few minutes before he dropped down onto the nest possibly from the left rear, branch. The AC came back up today or at least for now. It goes out every day or so. They did their usual exchanges today. Mom got really wet during the heavy rain this morning. Pa brought in a bird leg for her to eat that she went over to check out but did not eat it at that time. Later she ate some of the flesh from it. And then even later in the day when Pa was showing interest in it, she decided to go over and eat more of the flesh and then swallowed it whole. Pa also made a fluff delivery a couple of times today. Mom is currently on egg duty.

Edit to add: I went back to check on them after posting above and found Pa on egg duty. He arrived at 4:41 am and they did a nest exchange. MoM I believe went up to the LB and either flapped her wings or flew out. Can't check as the AC froze at 2:54:53 am ...

To continue with above post, apparently Mom did fly out as she returned to the nest at 6:16 this morning landing on the left nest. Pa did not want to get up but eventually did. Later in the morning they were coming and going almost constantly bringing sticks to the nest to place. It was difficult to keep up with. It has been some time since there was this much stick activity. The afternoon was quieter with Mom making a fluff delivery and Pa delivering a fish for Mom to eat. She flew out after eating the fish. Just before dark Mom called out in the distance. Pa got up and went over and picked up the last piece of fish that had remained after Mom ate earlier and he flew out with it in his beak. Don't know if he was going to take out the trash or decided to fly off with it so he would have a chance to eat it without interference from Mom. Mom immediately flew in and gleaned the area where the fish had been, then settled on the eggs for the night and the IR came on. At 8:21 pm surprisingly Pa returned to the nest. Mom did not get up and after a couple minutes he flew up to the left branch. Seconds later I heard a soft noise from there and think he may have flown out, but unable to check as the AC is still frozen. So far, have only seen Mom incubating the eggs during the night.

Nest exchanges continued throughout the day and only saw a very light rain at one point. Fluff and a stick brought in. At 2:04 am (a few minutes ago) rustling on the branches of the nest tree could be heard and Mom was watching, then at 2:06 more rustling and Mom hissed and threw her left wing out. The AC remains down.

Pa was later coming in this morning and did not come back for his usual last time for nest exchange today, otherwise it was a normal day. Pa did make a fluff delivery. Mom is currently on duty.

Mom is currently on egg duty for the overnight. She brought in a stick for the nest early this morning and Pa brought in unknown prey late this afternoon that she ate. Their nest exchanges were the usual today.
