Possible third falcon seen at this nest and sad news about the cam.

Mathew, I would be happy to contribute to the costs and maybe others here at BCAW would as well . . . ? That is, if you can get approval for installation.

I would be willing to donate some to help out Matthew. A cam would be nice again and I am sorry you are being such grief when you are doing such a selfless thing.

I know of some of the sneers, I get them also. but the pluses far outweigh the sneers.

Keep up the good work. I have to run but will come back here later.

Wow, its so sad to see how difficult it has been for Matthew and the condo group. Amazing that they would publicize their efforts, and then proclaim that they should not be involved. Grrrr....

Hi everyone, long time no speak! Thanks for the support here, I didn't doubt folks anywhere but home would support the process. The wheels are turning here at home, I'm talking with our usual volunteers and we're mulling over how to deal with the situation, which is mostly political.

It's not the $$ that's the issue with the camera, I probably have that covered (and frankly would probably pay myself in a pinch given how important it is), but the real issue is what the building's position is. I wrote out my blog post careful to consider how it might come back to haunt me, but regardless, I needed people to know what I go through every spring, and how it's much worse this year.

As it stands, I'm hopeful that people will rise to the challenge and that there may be some kind of compromise on the part of board/mgmt if enough people can approach them. If not then I'll do what I can with the MNR for the sake of the birds, but my hands are tied without help from the building.

For what it's worth, the underlying issue for me is family priorities that come first, and that may mean I'm unavailable. I thought I'd do the responsible thing and seek help, it isn't forthcoming but hopefully will eventually be.

On a brighter note, that was so cool to hear about Marla this week! She's a bruiser and looks gorgeous to me, but I'm a little biased :)

Anyways, I'll stop in here from time to time but I'm a bit reluctant to have a lot "on the record" out on the web so I tend to stick with the blog for updates.

Cheers and thanks everyone!
Mathew

Well, this is a bummer.
I know the feeling, of being let down when you have worked so hard.
and not banding, last straw.

Do you need some letters written

I am keeping my fingers crossed here.
this is where a cam would come in handy

I am so glad you were there Mathew. Is it not a thrill to see them released and then soaring and soaring, as God intended.

thanks for bringing the post here Carly

Carly, have you ever watched Hera and Zeus? The went right back to normal after she was released, and they are an awesome pair. I am thrilled he found his way back since being released yesterday, and I'm sure he'll be on the hunt for his long time mate. Very positive thoughts for this pair. Hopefully no condo people to interfere too!

I would love to see Jack give up Daddy duties to Milton...then he could return to Angel full time...that is if Milton is willing to take on Jack's future "kids"...such drama EVERYWHERE!!!

This story brings tears to my eyes, and after watching the video of Milton's release . . . well . . . I just hope and pray that Milton will be successful and live a long healthy life.

What a soap opera this is! Just glad that apparently Milton decided to woo TR Mom again & let her decide who she wants instead of battling with Jack. Then if Jack decides to fight him for the territory, she may decide against Jack & help Milton chase him away. On the other hand, Jack may decide that its too much work to provide for 2 families, especially once the youngsters require more food, & just stick with Angel. Like everyone else, I hope this is resolved peacefully.

Thanks for posting Mathew's observations, Carly!
