LOL...One of the eyases was up on top of the nestbox! He/she flew down a couple minutes ago and then flew back up there. So, there are still 3 there.

I believe both of the males have fledged. Only the females are left at the nestbox.

Any reports on how they are doing?

Sorry, I won't be down again until the weekend. That darn thing called work interferes. I can call the building, which I will do by Thursday, to get the report. But they may not know much more than we know if the birds are all OK. Which is a VERY good thing.

Forgot to add that Stephen, #58, was the first to fledge.

One of the females made it up to the top of the nestbox this morning. They look like they are going to be fledging soon!

They may have turned off the cameras. I saw Live Web Cam offline.

This afternoon I also saw the message that the cameras were offline for the season. I can't believe that they have turned them off so early. The females haven't even fledged. Maybe there are monetary issues going on. Or maybe there was a problem with the cameras. Who knows???

They posted that they think everyone flew successfully. I'll be down on Sat to check. I have seen them flying about for a couple of weeks after they fledge in the past.

I find it hard to believe that every one of the eyases fledged already. At the time they turned the cameras off, there were still the 2 females to fledge. As I said before, maybe they are having monetary issues there. They have to pay for bandwidth while people are watching. Another thing might be that people were calling them too much. Who knows, but it's disappointing that they shut the cameras off. Sometimes the fledglings come back to the nestbox.

They don't go back to the nestbox here. They can't land anywhere to make the small jumps necessary to go up. They do manage to go to the tops of the neighboring buildings that have ledges and flat surfaces where they can make their way up 60 floors.

I have seen babies make it back up to the nest box at 55. I was also watching when the cameras went off. There were 2 babies still there. One looked ready to go. Flying up to the top of the box and sitting on the edge head bobbing. The last one looked a few days away from fledging.

You are correct that there were two on Wednesday when they shut off the cam. Today, there was one and she did not look at all ready to fly. I believe Jubilee was sitting right there with her. I am sure that when she finally fledges, her mother will be flying right beside her. I'll be down again on Sunday.

An adult flew between 55 Water St and Two NY Plaza headed west. Looked and looked for the fledglings, but didn't see or hear any. I am sure they are safe. They are probably to the east of the building this year.

FYI, the building puts the fledglings back that end up on the ground and have to be rescued. That has been the case every year for many years. This year, they haven't had to rescue any of them and I assume they are safe.

Met Mike G there this morning and we are getting ready for the Jersey City surprise. Wasn't gonna give another hint, but ...

I should've gone down last weekend with everyone else, but still enjoyed my 1st visit to the site! I think that fledgling recognized her Aunt Bonnie  She's looking almost directly at the camera, love it when they do that! :thumbegg:

Bonnie -

I have been watching this site for at least 7 years and in the past, there have been at least 2 years where we have seen the juvies return (flying in) to the nestbox. It was later in the season, after they really had their wings, but they returned by themselves. They used to leave the cameras on for quite a while after all the eyases had become fledglings. I'm really sorry they turned the cameras off so early this year.

OK. Saw two fledglings peeking over the top of One NY Plaza. I am sure all four are up there. No one in the scrape and no rescues this year. That's cause for celebration!!

When I downloaded my pictures from Sunday there were three heads peeking over from One NY Plaza. No news is good news.
