I saw some of that too, and the flapping earlier. I like the last picture where they are all looking.

Would it not be something if he was really a female. Remember Sabrina at Rochester. she flew first and was so strong but they thought she was a girl and it turns out she was a he.

thanks Carly

No the white one is our youngest being Chedoke a male an our female being second born being Henderson an pretty close seeing who's larger our oldest Peter. Between these two if you see the larger two side by side look at the yellow feet as this is our girl Henderson.
Image
Ok here we have the two most active the eldest and youngest boys Joseph & Peter on the ledge an in the bleachers Chedoke and his sister Henderson.

Cheers

It's Great seeing our little getting larger you've all gotta have faith. How's it going out in Genesee Bev? Any bonding happening yet between the youngsters and adults yet? I saw the one adult wondering to itself there.
:hmmmm

Nothing yet, Moose. they have 90 percent success rate with this. Our biologists do this all the time/

We have faith with your little one, I just have this gut feeling about him being a she. I do not know what it is.

We all have gorgeous brews granted Miss Kitten. Bev where do the adults perch at night there?
Right now looking at ours the larger chicks are on the ledge an awake looking over at the next perch as I'm seeing longer tail and wing feathers so I'm guessing Madame X and here it's 12:51am.
We'll all be getting nervous as twas this date last year when ours first learnt to fly so yes nervous times are real close now.

Morning yes this has been going on now for a couple of days but see what it's like with bad weather due here again tomorrow. So I wonder about Chedoke because Madame X should be coaxing the young ones by flying by with a kill in her talons so with this happening will Chedoke be getting less food for the time being? You can see the 3 are getting antsy now tis a breeze too.

Bev hoping for the best there too but normally eggs are replaced with hatchlings an I don't remember seeing any eggs there.

this is being done by a falcon guru. They do this all the time and usually they do foster at same nest as eggs, but they have done it this way also, as the adults usually nest at this box and have bonded here.

But I think our female has had a stressful year.
You asked about whre the adults perch, do you mean at Edmonton. (that is the site whee I do falcon watch for.)

Nice shots of your crew.
I hope your youngster gets his food supply while they withhold form the others. but after watching form ground so much, I think they know which ones to fatten up.

Other news from nearby: just up the road to Burlington Lift bridge they've already got a flier Brant took flight on June 10th. Haven't heard if Diana has gotten airborne yet as she was a little porker at banding day.
