You know bev. when I saw them both there, I wondered if something was wrong, but it did not appear that way. I watched for some time and the dad was preening much of the time, just didn't take those pictures. Later, even after Radisson got up on the nest edge, dad stayed. The babies were mostly sleeping at the time.

Peter and I went down to check things out because it did not sit right with me , with the both parents being there so long.

when we got there we saw Radisson on the heart building . We could not see Damon. Then Damon came in . He perched on the jut of clinical science adjacent to nest box.(way at the top) . About 5 minutes later Radisson joined him. and they both perched looking out west.

WE have never seen them both perched there before. then RAdisson catwalked to where Damon was and then flew back to Heart building.

So we drove over to a lot just behind parkade, that is across from heart building. well there was one , no 2 ravens and in the tree was a young one. This is not very far from clinical science. I am wondering if this is the problem. The ravens protecting their young and vice-versa. The female raven had quite a few wing feathers missing.

I could be wrong but I just felt DAmon was giving Radisson support when he was on perch today.

I will be watching more closely now. ( my first thought was another falcon, but this could be it)

Call it a gut feeling.
I did not take camera as I just ran out of door when company left.

I have a few picutres to post from earlier and I will do that tomorrow

thank-you everyone for all your posts . I had to take a break.

It sounds like you have discovered the reason for double sentry duty, bev. Thanks for letting us know. Hope the two families can co-exist.

I think they can coexist. I think boundaries Just have to be set. I am sure this was the reason for the 2 on box so long yesterday.
a few shots from this morning and then I will back this afternoon to post some shots from the reground that I think I forgot to post (with everything over at Genesse last week)

WEber building: Miss Edmonton.

Everything is going good. Peter and I go every 2 days to see if there are 2 and watch a nsst exchange

The ravens there always chase them. I think the raven must have young. I thoughtPeter was taking pictures of that the other day but he was jsut enjoying theshow. Me, I was having a thousand heart attacks as they dive bombed her and tried to bring her down. But the male came to her rescue.

This sideshow is from June12. Miss Edmonton was there when we got there. then she flew off and came back with food to eat.
And then we waited for the exchange. we consume a lot of water and licorice while waiting

I am trying to catch up
