Chedoke will be fine as have no doubt about it. Tis a tight knit family now he wasn't the lightest Joseph was and the only 2 days separates these 2 at birth. Look how lil Joey has turned out and to see these 3 flying .. well I'd be saying Joseph is the best. It's a beautiful evening here tonight not to hot and tonight is another night in the high 50s rain to move in tomorrow afternoon. He's been fed tonight just finished and looks at the table scraps. He doesn't look fat at all either and been practicing whenever he can. Should be up soon enough joining the rest of the family.

This was a couple hours ago and look around you'll see company too. I love this running flapper look from Chedoke.

That's Peter, Henderson and Chedoke on the ledge (I saw all the color bands). Poor Chedoke, his siblings finished off his dinner. Then another food drop was made that Henderson is making short order of.

Well, make that Joseph, too! Everybody's home!

It looks like an intervention!

I think Chedoke will be okay, too. Better he wait until he is ready than to fly off too soon and get into trouble. What a treat to see all 4 back on the nest ledge last night! :cheer Many thanks to kittenface and MISue for that.

I love the way they come home to roost every night, even in the pouring rain. That's definitely Henderson on the left, Chedoke in the middle, and probably Peter on the right. In the first picture, a parent made a food drop and Chedoke, who had not been fed all day, made a frantic grab and took it into the box to eat. Thanks for catching the pictures, bev!

Chedoke will be seven weeks old tomorrow!

I know Cheroke is a male but fledging at 43 days old just reeks of female. Maybe a smaller one.

I jsut keep remembering Rochester when they thought SAbrina was jsut a bigger boy. this could be a smaller female.

It does not matter in the big scheme of things. I hope Cheroke does well.

Well, CArly, I definitely think female now. the name will fit both. Great news about the flight

Now hopefully the others do not want to play tag with Cheroke ,right away

Thanks for that update, carly. Good to hear of such a successful first flight and landing. So, if male bands are placed on a female, won't it be too snug?
