ahhhhhhhh....I'm so glad you posted your video, Mick...it was great to see little Trooper!!!

To be honest...I have no clue who we saw today...unless I hear squeaking and see jerky bowing, I'm not gonna think its Trooper...Markings are so deceiving..and we've never seen Trooper in his Winter "coat" after a molt...I don't even know if that makes a difference with primary markings..like sideburns, etc.

Is it the intruder from the fall? I don't know that either...if I stare at the pics long enough, I see the intruder/Trooper/new guy. At times I see what you're talking about catwoman..at other times, they look nothing alike to me (Intruder vs new guy)....All I can go on is the behavior we saw today and the pics we got...Today's behavior was totally different from Trooper...but it doesn't prove its not him...

Hopefully, he'll return tomorrow and spend lots of time in front of the cam to give us a really good look...and even better, if he would talk to us...Trooper has such a distinctive high pitch squeak..I don't know how we could miss that!!!

Well, it certainly has added excitement to the ledge today and it sure is fun playing detective...but its stressing me out more!!!

Mick, that video of Trooper was so fun to watch and thanks for posting it. Eating rocks ... he was the first falcon I ever saw do that. I sure hope he turns out to be the one on the ledge with Durand today ..... or ultimately next breeding season. I suppose it is up to Durand to decide since she is now the Queen of Columbus.

A falcon just arrived at the ledge. Still too dark to recognise anything.

Two falcons, one right after the other, just flew and landed on the next ledge over, chupping all the way.
Edit: Two minutes later, both flew off.

And here is the pic. One on the ledge just landed and the other went to the next ledge over (see the wings):

The one on this side is just hanging out and preening. All quiet.

OMG! I just got caught up with everyone's posts, pictures, and videos from the last few days. I'm just amazed that the intrigue and drama with this nest never seems to end.

Is the male visiting with Durand a new male just passing through, the intruder from the fight in November, or Trooper back from a brief vacation away? I'm so hoping that the male is really Trooper back home from vacation. And if that's not the case, then I'm hoping it's a visitor just stopping by to keep Durand company until Trooper returns.

Oh, good, Susan--he's showing us his unbanded legs! Well, this could be an interesting day trying to figure out who this is. Just to clarify what I said yesterday--I don't necessarily think this is Trooper, but I think it COULD BE Trooper.

To make things even crazier, regardless of whether its Trooper or not, he may leave again. Those who watched the Harrisburg cam last Winter might recall that Lil Dad left around Thanksgiving, came back for a day or 2 a few weeks later (we weren't even sure it was him at first), then left again.

Evidently, somebody had been sitting to the left of the camera view and flew off. I don't know what's up with these pictures.

Edit: Falcon flew to "other" ledge, stayed a few minutes. Flew off and circled in distance then landed close to cam, flew to center ledge then flew to top of box.
